Let me start by saying, I hated the beginning of Resident Evil 7. Why? Because it scared the living ♥♥♥♥ out of me! I wasn't used to this level of horror in a Resident Evil game. I've played RE2, RERevelations2, RE3, RE4, and RE8, and none of them prepared me for the intense fear RE7 delivers.

★Jack Baker★
NOT the main villain, but he deserves the spotlight.
Jack Baker, with his insanely good voice acting and psychotic demeanor, is hands down the most terrifying antagonist I've encountered in the series. Never have I been so scared to be chased by someone. Comparing him to Lady Dimitrescu, Mr. X, or Nemesis, Jack Baker takes the crown for sheer terror.
(took a multiple months long hiatus after his introduction)

⛧visuals + story⛧
Having played RE8 before RE7, the story finally clicked for me. While I'm not a huge fan of the Winters lore (massive Redfield-siblings and Leon fan here, sorry), I have to admit the story in RE7 is solid. I just found everyone in RE8 annoying, and I'm not even hyped if RE9 will be about Rose, sorry.
But the narrative in RE7 was.. good! It made me "tolerate" them.

The visuals are typical of Resident Evil – not groundbreaking but... effective?
The game's atmosphere is its strongest suit. I can't emphasize enough how this is the scariest Resident Evil I've ever played.

⛧combat + ammo⛧
The combat is tougher, and the rationing of ammunition is more stressful than in previous games, which adds to the overall tension. I struggled, but I pushed through. (and I REALLY s♥ck at games..)

Some of the jumpscares felt like they were designed for VR players which have lost their charm as a pc gamer. (still enough to sare me tho, not so critical)

best resident evil game i played it in one sittinf and my armpits were dank. plsssssss buy
