Hide Time - Patch 6 (version 1.0.6)

We keep on fixing and improving the game! :D
Here's another patch!

List of bugfixes and changes:

-fixed sensitivity and mouse axis settings not loading into next levels (you don't have to re-apply them anymore)
-added "f - flashlight" text into the controls panel in the settings menu

This is the smallest patch by far but it's a good sign of course! :D

Hide Time - Patch 5 (version 1.0.5)

This is a rather small patch! Here are all the changes:

-fixed one specific door clipping into a wall in Party Rooms
-fixed the controls panel in settings displaying incorrect info ("i - inventory" and there's no inventory haha)
-fixed a typo in one of the notes
-added display of version number in the settings menu

That's all in this patch! :D

Here's another patch with some fixes! :D

List of bugfixes and changes:

-fixed picking up the first key (now it should work, in case of further problems feel free to let us know)
-fixed crosshair and subtitles not showing up, even if they were turned on in the settings
-fixed wrong title display on the taskbar (It should now be "Hide Time")
-added some light next to janitor's office in the Hall
-improved the physics in the box sorting minigame

Hide Time is a suspenseful horror game that keeps you on edge from start to finish. the atmosphere is immersive, with eerie environments and chilling sound design. the gameplay focuses on exploration and solving puzzles while avoiding terrifying enemies. while it’s a short experience, it delivers plenty of tension and scares in its runtime. if you enjoy horror games with a creepy vibe and clever mechanics, this is worth checking out :))

Good game

The first chapter is very good. The art design is a beautiful mix between Poppy Playtime and Bendy and the Ink Machine. The setting is very good: you feel like you were really in a theme park. The tasks that you have to do are quite boring for a horror game, but the design of DJ Cat is very good, maybe the chase scene could be longer. This game it's underrated, surely better than Garten of BanBan. You've done a very good job....

Not a bad experience overall. Enemy behavior and animation leave MUCH to be desired and some of the puzzles can be grating, but the level design, atmosphere, and area details are honestly incredible for such a project. If for no other reason than admiring the effort put into the project, I recommend you give it a try. The facts that it's free AND they have a survey to improve the game speaks volumes. They care about this project and I'm personally excited to see where it goes. Music is average. It's nothing to blow you out of the park like Indigo Park or Finding Frankie, but it's certainly not as bad as a lot of mascot horror games. And that can be applied to most of the aspects of this game. Their take on the gear puzzles isn't anything original in the grand scheme of things, but is different from most mascot horror in that it's actually a puzzle and not simply a point and click, so I'm looking forward to more complex puzzles in future chapters. Give this game a try. It costs nothing but your time.

Overall it's an interesting game, but I think they should have put more scares throughout. I mean it's only chapter one so maybe they wanted you to think everything was normal for most of the game, but I think we all know we're here for some spooky stuff so gripping the audience with creepiness should be the goal. I think they could have done a lot better with audio like giving DJ Cat some menacing noises/movements as he chased instead of it just sounding like an action scene and you're being chased by a goofy looking giant stuffed animal. . It's not bad and I really liked the cutscene at the start, but hopefully in the future they'll lean into the horror aspect way harder.
