Totally worth the 0$ ive spent on this game

I have played this game thoroughly and I can say that this game is not worth 10 dollars. I wouldn't even say it's worth five. Save to say, it's not very good. It's a very basic game with very basic AI, only one of which I find to be a threat.

Cakey will appear from a frosted doorway and roam around the map, going through a few rooms before exiting through another frosted doorway. He is the first enemy you face and the only one who is a threat due to both a lack of resources and a relatively unpredictable wandering pattern.

Frostina will appear from a frosted doorway and make a beeline for you. She will always know you are there and will casually stroll towards you. If you get into a hidey hole before she gets to you, she'll do a canned animation before Naruto-Running away and despawning through a frosted doorway. She is inept. So long as you have enough pies prepared, you can pelt her with all you got when she appears before hiding away and awaiting a new cycle.

Candy Bane will appear from a frosted doorway and sprint to a random room with his eyes closed. Then he will run to multiple points in the room and glance about to try to find you. He's tougher than Frostina, only because it's rarer for him to enter the kitchen on a cycle.

The combat loop is running around the map and gathering ingredients to bake into pies. Each enemy will be weak to a different pie each cycle, a cycle being the time between them spawning and despawning. There are six ingredients to gather and four pies to make. You're also given a cooling table where you can place your baked pies. Seemingly, as many pies as you want to store. Once you defeat an enemy, they will drop a key and give you access to another area and the next enemy.

Here's the thing. Each enemy only spawns when a certain thresh-hold is crossed. Cakey only spawns when you try to enter the Cookie Bar or the Processing Room. Frostina only spawns when you go through the locked door in the Freezer. And Candy Bane only spawns when you go through the locked door in the Processing Room. This means that as so long you don't trigger them to spawn in, you can make as many pies as you want without any worry. They can be cheesed, with Cakey less so.

Most ingredients will spawn in an area where you will not trigger enemy spawns. However, some ingredients can and will spawn in the Processing Room. Thus, there is a good chance you will not be able to stock up on all the pies. This is why Cakey is the biggest threat. You will have holes in your stockpile.

Another thing that limits you is your carry limit. You can only pick up one ingredient at a time and only one unit of it at a time. However, when you unlock additional rooms you can find upgrades that increase your carry limit. Will be able to carry three, and later five units of an ingredient at a time. This helps speed up the process of pie production and helps most when preparing for Frostina.

Overall, the mechanics allow for a semi-legit fight with Cakey and a curb stomping of Frostina and Candy Bane. All you need to do is run out and grab some ingredients between cycles, make pies, hide in the kitchen hidey hole until the enemy enters, then sneak out while their not looking, grab your stockpile of pies, and pelt them to death.

The atmosphere is alright, the sound design ranges from gross to annoying to genuinely disturbing, the designs are serviceable, but the gameplay itself is dull and absolutely not worth ten dollars. Get it for free while you can if you wanna dunk on Candy Wife with Tooth Rot, but don't buy it.
