I am a 55 year old biker and trucker father, and probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 15 now. My son got this game for from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 12 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So i decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game and started playing but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he let me borrow his controller. Me and my son then played in turns and I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game has helped build my relationship with my son back to how it was before he lost his mother.

So... where do I start here. This game is beautiful.

Its yours to explore and log the wonders of the galaxies, whether you want to build bases, become a scavenger, a pirate or an explorer... You have so many options. Every system is so unique and filled with beautiful landscapes or is just out right weird and terrifying. You can even crash economies if you are patient enough.

I will be 100% honest. This game, can be very lonely and boring. You will spend a lot of time travelling and the only times you will see other players is if your own friends join you, you go to the Anomaly or you run expeditions. You can find players in the wild among the stars, although you have a better chance at winning the lottery (I am seriously not kidding, you will almost never meet a player in the wild.)

With that being said, you have free range to essentially do what ever you please. This game is very relaxing, and I highly recommend it if you want something to relax with after work or if you're bored.

After a Year One blunder, this game took 6 more years to fix everything we considered to be an issue. Seeing what's going on with Helldivers 2 makes me think that maybe Sony had more to do with the problems at Hello Games than anybody/anything else.

Every time I log into Steam, this game is being updated with some multi-gig content pack, all free. We should be so lucky in 2024 to have a company this dedicated. 10/10

Fantastic game. I can just get lost in these worlds, and there are an unlimited amount of them. I've built a home base around a settlement in Cugnatatchh Galaxy. Great for playing with friends. I joined the game a couple years after launch, so I've mainly experienced the "fixed" version of the game and all the free expansions and updates that keep coming and adding depth to this expansive and immersive digital universe.

The only game that I know of that managed though the dev's passion and dedication to crawl up from Negative to Very Positive reviews, slowly becoming a true masterpiece. Keep up the good work captain!
