We’re excited to announce that the Mythic Battlegrounds: Demonic Siege demo is released and you can download and play it right now! 🎮

The demo lets you play the full Chapter 1, where you'll defend the village of Aeshen's Rest against waves of undead! You'll command the human army, and thanks to the special feature of the human race—the "Mercenary Guild"—you'll get a taste of random units from all four playable races in the game!

This is a special milestone for us since we’ve been working very hard to prepare this demo, and we can’t wait for you to try it out. Your feedback will be invaluable as we work toward the full release coming later in March.

New tutorial and keyboard shortcuts are ready!

Hi everyone,

We have added a short tutorial to make it easier to get started and dive into the game. Based on the feedback from our beta testers, we have also included keyboard shortcuts for smoother navigation.

Shortcuts:

Main Screen:

Buildings: C
Barracks: B
Skills: S
Quests: Q

Barracks Screen:

Hire Soldiers: 1-5
Upgrade: U
Reserve: R

Buildings Screen:

House: H
Race Special Building: R
Military Buildings: 1-5

I have a few questions about the game

How did you balance the four playable races (humans, elves, orcs and dwarves)? Are there certain scenarios in which one race is particularly strong or weak? What considerations did you take into developing the commanders' unique abilities? Are there any particular historical or fictional sources of inspiration? How complex is the game for new players? Have you built in mechanics to help beginners without compromising depth for experienced players? Are there customizable difficulty levels or special game...
