This is somewhere between an interactive film and a game, but achieves a distinctive mood in its short run time, which could have been shorter still. Not all the game elements worked – the sled is very fiddly (to the extent that a particularly difficult sequence can be skipped) and the final scene goes on way too long. The hordes of homicidal deer would have been better used sparingly, and the antagonist’s dialogue could have been pared down. Still, fans of arctic madness, e.g. season 1 of The Terror, The Thing, The North Water, and so on, will find something of interest here.

What an interesting way to tell an interesting story.
