The 1.3.0 update is here, and with it, Christmas arrives in Countless Army.

Steam Deck Verified

Countless Army is now officially Steam Deck Verified! Enjoy a smooth and optimized experience on Valve's portable console.

Steam Cloud and Save Improvements

Steam Cloud is now enabled for Countless Army. Play on different devices without worrying about losing your progress. Additionally, adjustments have been made to optimize saved games:

The risk of corrupted saves has been significantly reduced.
If an issue occurs, you will have a backup copy to ensure your progress is safe.

Gameplay Improvements

Pause Button

The Pause Button, suggested by MonkeyFonix, adds a new layer of strategy and convenience. Pause the game to think carefully and plan your moves. This improvement is especially useful for players using a controller.

Army Templates

Inspired by McStuffins T. Fox's suggestion, you can now save troop configurations. This feature simplifies the start of invasions by allowing you to reuse your favorite setups.

Prefer experimenting with new strategies or not saving templates? You can disable this option from the upper left corner of the troop selection screen.

Shortcut List

Thanks to Lavan's proposal, you can now view all available shortcuts directly from the options menu. Whether you're using a keyboard or controller, this functionality will help you get the most out of your games.

Two New Skins

Two new skins inspired by Dead Inside Gaming and Interndotgif have been added. Customize your armies with these fresh options!

Demo Update

The demo has also been updated to reflect all the changes made to the game. This includes new gameplay mechanics, bug fixes, and general optimizations.

New Features

Added a new screen in the options menu to check all keyboard shortcuts. (Suggested by "Lavan")
Added compatibility with Steam Deck.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where defenses missed more shots at higher speeds.
Resolved a bug where certain skins would change to others when a troop died in combat.
Fixed issues with paths changing color when crossing rivers.
Addressed several minor visual issues.
The button to adjust typography to the left in the options menu now works correctly.
Fixed a bug where the descriptions of mill upgrades appeared misaligned during the first tutorial section.
Adjusted the stars in the final menu after each conquest, which were shifting out of position when zooming in.
Fixed the misalignment of buildings in the final menu after each conquest when zooming in.
Resolved issues with corrupted saves. The game now includes a backup system to protect your progress.
Fixed an issue in the tutorial where pressing a button with a controller too early would misalign the title.
The "back" button is no longer visible when using a controller in the skill tree menu, as intended.

Getting Closer to Update 1.3.0!

The 1.3.0 update is just around the corner, and today I want to share some of the exciting features coming your way.

Pause Button

The pause button was suggested by "MonkeyFonix", and I thought it was a fantastic idea. After exploring how to implement it, I realized that this mechanic not only adds an extra layer of strategy and tactics to the game but also improves the experience for players using a controller. I’m confident many of you will find it both useful!

Army Templates

Thanks to the suggestion from "McStuffins T. Fox", a system to save troop configurations has been added. When you select your troops for an invasion, the configuration will now be automatically saved for future invasions, making it much easier to get started.
For those experimenting with different strategies or who simply prefer not to save their configurations, there’s an option to disable this feature. You can find it at the top left of the troop selection screen.

Shortcut List

"Lavan" suggested adding a section in the options menu to display all the shortcuts available in the game. They noticed that some commands weren’t explained in the tutorial, and they were absolutely right. This is a feature that should have been there from the beginning.
After working on its development, I’m happy to present the result! You can now easily check all the shortcuts, whether for keyboard or controller, directly from the options menu.

I hope these new features excite you as much as they do me. The Christmas update will bring even more surprises! Stay tuned for more information coming soon.

Minor Bug Compilation

It's my first time playing this game, and fortunately I haven't had any bugs other players had so far. Though, I got the "lose 1 time" achievement when I entered the first invasion after the tutorial. After finishing said invasion, I checked the statistics and those say that I did not lose any invasions. EDIT: I changed the title because I found other minor bugs: - Some buildings that require 8 minions sometimes have 9/8. - There was an instance where a trap kept opening and closing when a soul was above ...

its a pretty good game, I don't recommend playing on anything other than easy to start, the early game and even mid game power scaling is a really rough, But still a fun game, i wish there was an auto mode as fighting all the rebellion's over and over when i will easily win is a tad annoying

Note for the Dev, please give us an option to change upgrades on the units, as the ghoul or Ghost path i chose is useless
