was kinda hating on edge because this frat looking aah btc wouldnt stop yapping only to side with him at the end because its so much more depressing than it seems. everybody in this game deserves a life so much better than they have, honestly. if this ever has zero fans it means im dead.

a must play if yall love cyberpunk/parkour/futuristic stuff. some gameplay mechanics are weird as hell and take time to get used to but its all worth it in the end. the entire 'memory reversal' thing was a selling point for me and its incredibly fun to do. nilin kicks a4ss. #fckzorns

Capcom always come with a great game and greater ideas
its a very good game

One of the best (if not THE best) visually designed game I ever played. Beautiful New Paris cyberpunk views with hightech and low life make this game very believable and pleasant (even in disgusting places like slums or abandoned metro station, those nastiness have their sharme too).
The core gameplay of the game is 3rd person action, with simple platforming and simple fighting system (even less complex than the first Arkham Batman) with 4 customisable combos, where you can choose what exact effect will the hit you make have - there are 4 effects - more damage, healing on hit, cooldown reduction and increasing previons effect (that can be chained for even more effect). Which gives you ability to have healing combo, full damage, full CDR to use special abilities (that give you a crowd control usually, or high burst).
Great story with a bit of naive and sometimes VERY BLUNT references (like really, location name SLUMS 404, or a person named Bad Request - it is kinda funny but at the same time a bit cringy, was waiting for Gateway Timeout death screens to be fair)
Additionally the game has a unique mechanic of reshaping some people memories to change some little stuff to cause a "butterfly effect" to them remember things than didn't happen. If only such things were more in the game.

Negatives:
- the game is EXTREMELY linear - it feels very tight (cramped?). Most locations are just corridors with arenas between them, and it would be super nice to explore those beautiful locations you can see afar more.
- balance issues - very strange part that can be exploited - later in the game you get access to 6 and 8 hit combos that gives you more experience if being completed. But the funny thing - you want those combos to deal as little damage as possible if you can survive using them - because every full execution gives you additional exp, so fighting ineffectively gets rewarded, while dispatching enemies quickly dont give any bonuses on top of defeating them
- A TON of collectables (both lore, exp and upgrade ones) - like Batman Arkham City riddlers trophies level - for a kinda short game - 150+ if a LOT
- checkpoint balance issues - like - you get healed on death (if you died in one of the stages of the fight), but lose all focus, that is much more important because you can get heal in combo fast, but focus is provinding very powerfull tools that just get disposed\wasted if you die in a fight (making it somewhat harder) - some fights much easier to reset from main menu and return to the fight from the start but with focus, than have full hp but no focus.

Note: to chain combos after evasion you need to press the correct hit button mid-evasion to continue. Makes things gradually easier. Also, you need to flip OVER an enemy. Some enemies cannot be flipped over AND you cant flip over an enemy if not enough space (he is standing close to a wall or an edge of the arena, so instead Nilin will execute a dodge, instead of a flip\evade)


In total - this is very cool game and if you like cyberpunk stuff, like Johnny mnemonic, distopias like 1984 (the year of the game is a reference too i guess), - you will enjoy this game very much. Just dont get focused on collectables in 1st playthrough, they kill the pace of the game.
