Cons: I've spent over an hour stuck in the tutorial. This game is INSANELY hard. It's combat system requires 100% precision with timing blocks. You're off by a mili-second? Gonna take damage. And there's little warning when a enemy will attack. Camera angle when locked on is really bad and hard to see.

Probably gonna ask for a refund.

Technical issues left and right. Unpolished gameplay, untested areas and balance is non-existant with arbitary choices made throughout the game. Maybe after some improvements this could be good but right now I can't recommend it to anyone.

Could use some polishing in some areas, but I still enjoyed the game a lot. If you like souls, consider supporting smaller developers like these. There's even a free demo.

I was wondering how a top-down pixel art game would translate to 3D but they did a good job. It's a pretty fun game. The enemies and settings are cool, and there's a good variety of weapons to use. But it's important in most fights that you're able to parry at least some of the enemy attacks, otherwise you'll probably run out of stamina pretty quickly just dodging and attacking. If you like that kind of combat then you'll enjoy this game.

I be high AF playing this game. It's both gory and cartoony and ♥♥♥♥ awesome.

Well it is truly a sequel of Morbid one, and by this i mean i got what i expected on therms of quality, gameplay could have used some polish, like not being able to buy consumables making em extremely scarce, and on certain boss you need thunder shrooms or bleed shrooms if you hope to not take a lot of time trying to battle it, the upgrade system of weapons was barely noticeable, beated the whole game with the rusted knuckles you find on the first level and the ending was a bit anti climatic, but is a far improvement from the first one and enemy designs are really cool, as i said i wish they could have refined how the gameplay was since most weapons on the same category have the same moveset, and the sanity mechanic i've barely ever was able to kept my sanity up you gain very little by attacking in comparison of what you lose on getting hit and there is even a blessing designed to keep your sanity at lowest which is detrimental idk why that exist, you take more damage, gain less xp, just attack faster and harder, which is the same benefit of positive sanity without detriments.

Game just feels really bad to play. Combat is awful.

What a surprise this game was. It's a small game, but I have so much to say.
I heard about it because of some Youtube suggestion, and what I saw looked cool, the kind of vibes and world I personally enjoy. I then bought the first one and decided to go through it, even though a different style, and I quite liked the world and decided to play this one too.

You are introduce to the first Area, which is kind of the tutorial section, and I recommend you to read these tutorials and try to understand the mechanics the game is teaching you, because there is a lot more than it seems, even though you may not use all the toolkit.
The gameplay is fun, reactive and quite satisfying. You have the usual light and heavy attacks, rolls and parry but some others such as block and perfect block and a little strafe (never figured out a use for it), a gun mechanic and a sanity system that influences a lot of things for your character's stats and perception of the world. I ended up using the parry mostly, because I love it and it's so satisfying to follow it with a critical hit. As why it was not put instead of the perfect block, I understood it later when I saw that a blessing could be upgraded to block unlockable attacks, so you would not be able to parry but now you could perfect block it.
The gun mechanic is such a cool thing. In the first game I barely used it, but here, it adds a lot of dynamism to the combat. As it reload on kills, you can almost spam it on little enemies, Use it on bigger ones when you are about to break the stance to bring them to their knees and throw some blows to break them, but my favorite style was leaving some small enemies in the area, focus on the big guy, use the gun when needed, go kill a small skeleton to reload the gun, go back the big one and harass them like that. It brought the fights to another dimension for me.
You will find a lot of weapons! different style and all looking cooler and cooler the more you progress. You can have 2 weapons equipped, but when I discover that I could have one big weapon for impact and a small one like a sword to do the critical hit with much more damage, I was consistently swapping weapon to juggle between impact and damage and that was amazing and even one shot the optional boss of the
The weapon upgrade is also a brilliant idea to me. That you can slot runs, which will be use to upgrade the weapon with the stat you put in there, up to 3 times and then yo can even extract one bigger rune based on the upgrade you made and reset the weapon, you can customize with the stats you want. The only downside is that I don't feel the runes could be farmed, so the foundation is so good, but I felt some limitation on upgrading my weapons, because I could find a stronger ones 10 min later.

The world was a joy to explore. The zones are pretty linear even though they give you a feeling that you have a lot to explore, but it often comes down to 2 paths that then join together, but they are so pretty and detailed. Some may say it looks like an old gen game but I don't agree. Yes, the graphics are not from a AAA, but it's a 25€ game from a small studio and the care they put in all the zones is amazing. It doesn't feel empty and I was really eager to discover the next zone. The enemies are varied and the bosses art design is excellent. I want to leave a note for the 3rd main boss, when I entered the arena, I was like: This is going to be so good ! I loved the arena, the potential of it and what could have been done with it, but the fight ended up not being a real one and was disappointed.

If only more players had passed the first area they would have realized that the game is far from being bad. Overall I really enjoyed this game and the experience was quite flawless during my 11 ish hours playthrough. No major bugs, no crashes . When you understand all the mechanics, I didn't find the game hard and I wish it had a bit more difficulty. Really fun combat, loved the aesthetic of the world, to see the enemies from the first game remade in 3D beautifully.
I definitely recommend this one to anyone wanting an action game with a bit of challenge and a gruesome world.

This is an ambitious follow up to the first Morbid game, a pixel art indie that I loved. And so far in my couple hours of play, it feels like they seamlessly transition from the isometric feel of the previous outing into a fully 3D soulslike that still maintained the spirit and look of their art style and lore. I have some minor gripes- the game can feel a bit janky at times (to be expected from a small team and honestly the jank is minor all things considered) and most notably for me a lack of good feedback/weight feeling when being hit. But I believe both of these things can be patched out and as their sanded away, this respectable entry in the soulslike will shine on with its predecessor as the indie gem that it is.

i really liked this, the pacing is a bit unique cause you can animation cancel your primary attack and go into a block or parry. this leads to combat vs multiple enemies more often. for $20 this is an easy choice, lots of blood and gore....very customizable and probably breakable weapon builds
