TL;DR:
It's a trap and I got baited as well. Most of the negative reviews were spot on (sadly).
I just finished the game on EXTERMINATUS difficulty (hardest one) and I’d feel pretty awkward and uncomfortable recommending this game to my friends or anyone on my friend list.
Early game is fine and fun but quickly sours as you get deeper into it (mid- & lategame).
For big Warhammer fans maybe a 6/10 or 7/10, max. The franchise is carrying the game hard.

C. were killing the gameplay flow/pacing every single time (because it simply doesn't fit IMO)

• insane & unnecessary backtracking
  
• maps were like labyrinths – confusing and frustrating
  
• super useless Servo-skull
  
• there were zero markers or hints—nothing at all to point you in the right direction
  
• and all that WITHOUT A MAP! xD I can laugh about it now, but it was a very painful & frustrating
  
• veeeery little enemy and boss variety
