Spellpowder: Uprising starts Steam Next Fest with a release date!

The uprising has begun! Spellpowder: Uprising is now live in Steam Next Fest, with an updated demo, that features first four chapters of the game, along with cutscenes and intro cinematic. Download the demo now and take command in a world where gunpowder and steel challenge Magia!

I'm also excited to announce that Spellpowder: Uprising launches on May 22! The battle for the future is fast approaching—add the game to your wishlist and be ready when the war begins.

Option to turn off the camera lock?

I like the demo, but i wish there is a option to turn off the camera lock so it will not follow character's every action

Spellpowder: Uprising is participating in the Next Fest

Greetings tacticians,

Spellpowder: Uprising will be participating in an upcoming Steam Next Fest, from February 24 with a new updated demo. This one will feature cutscenes and other updates from internal build. It will be a last demo update (without some bug fixing if needed) before game release.
To prepare for that, old demo will be taken down.

The new demo will come online on Next Fest, so feel free to try new demo and share your experiences in Spellpowder discord server.

The wait is almost over!

Greetings,

Work on a Spellpowder: Uprising is coming to an end, so it's high time to set a release date. And that is year 2025. I know, I know it's somewhat vague, but since the game was started in 2020 even knowing years is great.

So what can you expect is this time?

Streaming - not sure Youtube or Twitch, but will be streaming more often, to show the game
Kickstarter? - might create a campaign to see how it works and goes, not 100% sure yet
Voice Acting audition - more info will be on Discord server some time later
Next Fest in 2025 with updated demo and new trailer

And game release of course, biggest event of them all. So stay tuned (mostly on Discord) and see you all later.

A bit of demo feedback...

First off, had a bunch of fun with the demo. A few minor things I think could improve it or would be nice. 1. A few more portraits for character creation and/or selectable hair color. Even if it's just 4-5 hair colors for each race, like white, blonde, brown, black, and red it'd be nice. 2. Auto-collect the loot piles after combat. 3. If possible, it'd be very nice to make it so that the actions a character took that got them to their level up heavily weigh the stat gains toward what those actions benefi...

Neat demo

I messed around the demo a little bit and I have two suggestions: damage prediction (that is, an estimate of what the to-hit and damage is per attack), and movement undo (button to undo a movement that's already been enacted, cannot be used after attack). Seems interesting otherwise, were you planning on gamepad support?...
