Unexpectedly deep army builder sim in which the stakes are getting higher and higher every couple hours, that forces you to rethink your all strategy.

TLDR: I went in with pretty low expectations but from the get go its a lot better than i expected. 7/10

i got it on discount looking for a cheap knockoff of fire emblem but its a perfectly solid game in its own right. story telling so far is sort of generic but absolutely acceptable. battles are fun and engaging and i like the depth of customization vs the standard fire emblem troop loadouts. graphics are fine and the talking head dialogues are fine. i really appreciate how you can choose your own sprites for the battle icons of each squad. runs great on deck and also docked to a 4k tv (its so simple but looks great on the big screen.) all in all this exceeds my expectations and its totally worth it if youre a fan of fire emblem looking for something new. im not that far into it but i really appreciate everything ive seen so far. plus its always on sale so put it on your wishlist and just wait for the next deal if $20 is too steep for an indie game. only negative thing i have to say i guess is the music gets a tad bit repetitive, but i think they did a good job with a full blown soundtrack for it.
