I enjoyed it and don't regret getting it, but also felt a bit misled by some of the other reviews and alleged properties of the game.

It was suggested that it's "roguelike replayable" with generated stuff, but really the differences between runs are negligible.

The deduction aspect is unfortunately weirdly all done for you apart from comparing the list of properties of the killer, to the list of properties of the suspects. Once you have selected the killer, you just pick all the options to reveal all the evidence, you don't have to think at all. While you're collecting the evidence you're *mostly* just doing tasks to get 3 stars of cooperation from each of the suspects, and collecting their one piece of data at the end of that, with a very minor "pick the right clue to accuse them of lying" step.

Everything about it was super easy even on the "hardest" level. When I went to get the "die" achievement I thought it would just involve losing a fight, because I'd done all the levels without ever losing a fight up to that point. Only after looking it up did I discover the special extra conditions on that achievement, which actually require another entire playthrough, which isn't worth the time at that point.

All the deckbuilding aspect is therefore near-pointless. It can slightly speed up how quickly you win a fight, basically.

A bit of deckbuilding helps with the tactical diplomacy, but mostly the secret of that is one rule, "don't buy cards that don't help you cycle your deck". And I think you might be able to win the game without using tactical diplomacy at all anyway, as there's always a "pay or fight instead" option.

Playing on Linux with Proton, it kept starting up in the wrong window size, mismatched to the saved options, and the mouse pointer was frequently a black rectangle instead of the arrow. Minor gripes.

So, that's all the negatives, the positives are it's a varied game for one or two playthroughs, each of the bits are fun enough. The achievements are good to get you to try different playstyles, but the overall process is unfortunately not really that different with different playstyles.

Could have been great and actually properly replayable if there was some real logical deduction to it - it could be a lot more interesting if, e.g. the murderer was a liar, and maybe one other person was a liar, and there was some human-brain logical deduction involved in figuring out which data *doesn't fit*, rather than just everyone lies once and you know it's a lie then you get the truth from them the second time, you collect all the "final data" from everyone and it's all automatically true and fits neatly together.
