More like puzzle quest than a bards tale game. Leveling barely matters, hardly any classes, classes are barely distinct and talent trees were phoned in and massively overlap per class. Completely linear, so exploration is a waste of time. Only 4 skills per character, so no point in learning new ones. No way to grind levels or money, tons of backtracking to buy needed gear scattered over an obnoxious number of vendors. Music is great though, so I suppose thats something.

It's fun. Battles are turn-based and if you calculate it wrong - you're dead. A lot of puzzles as well.

Enjoying this, until stuck at the beginning. Everywhere I turn there are enemies that kill me in one turn. Can't progress. Shame as the idea of the game is fine. It is just too punishing.
