Hello, In this guide i'll show you how to mod Soma Prime and get HIGH damage.

Soma Prime:
The Soma Prime is the primed version of the Soma assault rifle. It primarily features a greater magazine size, greater ammo reserves, and a slight increase to physical damage and status chance.

Materials:
Soma Prime parts can be found in the Void:

Blueprint: Tower II Defense A / Tower II Survival B
Barrel: Tower IV Interception C / Tower III Mobile Defense
Receiver: Tower II Survival C
Stock: Tower III Exterminate / Derelict Defense C

When you have all of the parts you will need:
- 15.000 Credits
- All of the parts (duh)
- 10 Orokin Cells

It takes 12 hours to craft but you can rush it for 50 platinum which is a waste...
Stats:
Mastery Level: 6
Trigger Type: Auto
Fire Rate: 15.0 rounds/sec
Magazine Size: 200
Max Ammo: 800 rounds
Reload Time: 3s
Physical Damage: 12.0
Impact: 1.2
Puncture: 4.8
Slash: 6.0
Crit Chance: 30.0%
Crit Multiplier: 3.0x
Status Chance: 10.0%

Comes with 2 V polarities.
Has a high crit rate wich makes it a good crit weapon.
You can add Rifle Ammo Mutation/Rifle Scavenger if you keep running out of ammo.
Main Build:
I added 4 forma's on my Soma Prime.
I added 2 V polarities and 2 - polarities.
This is what it will look like:


Then you add Point Strike, Vital Sense, Split Chamber, Serration and Heavy Caliber (you can max Heavy Caliber if you want but it is better to leave it rank 7).


This is your main build. You have 3 mod slots for elemental mods.
Void/Infested Build:
I went for Corrosive + Fire for Void/Infested.


Toxin and Electric for Corrosive do deal extra 75% damage to ancients and heavy gunners.

Fire for extra 25 - 50% damage to the lighter units of the infested and for extra 25% damage to the heavy gunners.
Grineer Build:
I went for Radiation + Toxin for Grineer.


We need Electric and Fire for Radiation to get extra 75% damage to those tough napalms and bombards.
Corpus Build:
I went for Magnetic + Toxin for Corpus.


First we get Electric and Cold to get mag, to do an extra 75% damage to those shielded Corpus units.

For the second element we use toxin so you can bypass Corpus shields completely and attack their HP without even lowering their shields and also for 50% extra damage to flesh units and 25% to proto shield users.

This is my first guide.
I made this build myself and it is personal you can change it however you want.

But instead of extra element you could give either shred just like Beast Wolf said cause bigger fire rate = more shots = more dps + penetration... or fanged fullisade which will raise slash dmg to ~110 which is better than ~75 extra element dmg regardless of faction cause almost every enemy in the game has a flesh type hp and thus gets bonus from slash dmg + slash proc which directly damages hp bar ignoring armor :AwesomeBorn:

I know shred will mow down groups of enemies. But if you remove a element you will loose alot of dmg.

Just gonna comment about the Void Build. Since I have my Soma P Maxed to my preference.

If you want A little more DPS, Remove the heat in this case hellfire, use the two -'s for the normal combo of Shock+Toxin, and Replace the extra now empty mod spot with Shred.

The punch through will allow you to tear down a crowd and destroy any boss :B1:

Hammer Shot OR Rifle AMmo Mutation, Elemental 1, Element 2, Point Strike
Vital Sense, Serration, Split Chamber, Heavy Caliber. 4 Forma, void build. Soma is crit weapon with a high rate of fire, fire rate mods will kill them ammo, besides, it's fast firing and you don't need them anyway. Hammer Shot is + crit damage but swap out of ammo mutation if you're going long haul. Split Chamber/ Heavy Caliber = bullets go roughly where you want them to. Not a sniper gun. Best used on crowds.

Hammer Shot goes nice. it put me up to 8.4 crit multiplier with Vital Sense on it aswell :Horzine:

You will waste ALOT of your ammo with a fire rate mod on soma.

You can add it but you dont need the +90% fire rate.

|I know shred is really good for the Soma but i dont have space for it. If you want you can add it.
