Insane Damage Solo EB Excalibur. (2 Forma - U17.2)
Door Destrasz
*Synicate mods no longer work with excaliburs EB - U17.2*

Showing the power of the new reworked Excalibur, going over all the abilities and how to mod for him for high survivability + Mod setup for the best melee weapon for (IMO) boosting Excaliburs Exalted Blade.

!!!Super important thing message!!!

I don't go to into depth about his first 3 powers as this build focuses around EB, so sorry for lack of info

Also if you liked or found the guide helpful, leave a thumbs up!

Please Read Before.
This is just here to say, this guide is focused mainly on EB, Excalibur's ultimate.
So I don't go to much into detail about his other powers, just the basics of them.

Also if your not interested on the stats and such and just want the build, its at the bottom of guide

Since U17.2 EB is no longer affected by the synicate augments, this did annoy me a 'bit' but I totally understand why it was changed, it simply makes sense, Augment for Skana is an Augment for the 'Skana' and since EB is considered its own melee weapon the augment shouldn't really work with it since your no longer using the Skana

Enjoy.
Where to find him.
A master of gun and blade.
No matter your style, Tenno, the Excalibur Warframe is a formidable choice.

Blueprint parts drop from the boss Ambulas, Hades found on Pluto.

Once all parts are found and crafted it will cost you 1 Orokin Cell and 25,000 credits to craft and will take 72hrs (3Days) to complete.

Or you can buy him pre-built with an orokin catalyst for 75p.
Excalibur's Stats
Health - 300 At max rank

Slash Dash.
Stats:
Strength: 100/125/200/250
Range: 6/8/10/12m
Duration: N/A

Slash Dash makes you dash between enemies within a cone area with pretty nice damage however this guide isn't focused around it so we're not gonna go to much into it, just some basics.

Also if SD doesn't kill the enemy, it wil knock them down for a short period.

Base damage is split between 15% Impact, 15% Puncture and 70% Slash

Using this will up your melee counter.
Excalibur cannot be harmed while dashing.
Mods on your melee weapon affects the damage dealt.

Radial Blind.
Stats:
Strength: N/A
Range: 8/12/15/25
Duration: 7/10/12/15

Excalibur raises his sword and emits a bright flash of light stunning all nearby enemies.

Radial Blind is a very important ability for when you get to high level content it will allow you to do a crap ton more damage than you could without it due to the finisher damage multipliers, also can be used to revive team mates or just get out of a bad situation either way its a power you want to get used to using.

You may want to use the Radiant Finish Augment but I say its not needed as its a overkill and enemies won't tend to have over 3 million hp so, just no.

Radial Javelin.
Stats:
Strength: 500/650/800/1000
Range: 15/18/22/25m
Duration: N/A

Launches javelins towards enemies dealing large amount of damage.
Ever since the rework I felt this power isn't as needed as EB will do more damage and costs less but its still pretty fun to use at low level content and watch the enemies go flying.
The Damage is evenly across all 3 base damage types, Impact, Puncture and Slash.

I don't tend to use this myself as the damage falls off way too quickly, you could end up spamming radial javelin, wasting all your energy where you could have kill an enemy with a few slashes of EB which would have costed around 5 energy.

Also get a short stun for enemies that don't die.

Exalted Blade.
Stats:
Strength: 100/125/200/250
Duration: N/A
Range: N/A

Summon a sword of pure energy, this thing is unstoppable with the right build and melee mods, first lets see the stats of the EB itself at max rank:

Base Damage: 250
Wall Attack: 1000
Spin Attack: 535
Leap Attack: 500
Critical Chance: 15%
Critical Damage: 200%
Status Chance: 10%
Spin Blind Duration: Is half of whatever your Radial Blind stuns for.

Prisma Skana + Few Tips
Now for the part everyone is here for, the build.
It's all focused towards damage some duration and decent efficiency.
At the end is a small video and some images showing how powerful the damage is when combining your powers.

But lets take a look at my build, I only ever use 1 build btw.

First just a brief overview of the stats

Now for my build, keep in mind this is a 2 forma build.
- Survivability mods are gonna be Vitality for 740 and Rage to keep your energy up.
- Strength mods are gonna be Blind Rage (R7) and Transient Fortitude (R9)
- Efficiency mods are gonna be Streamline (Max) Fleeting Expertise (Max) and Primed Flow (R9)
- Survival / Duration mod for last, Constitution for about 3 more seconds on Radial Blind and a very helpful faster knockdown recovery (Trust me, its saved me many times)

Now that's done lets move to the next super important thing, the mods on your melee weapon as that affects your EB.

- First the stance, from what I can tell, the stance doesn't matter but I just prefer Crimson Dervish
- Damage mods are gonna be Pressure Point, Bright Purity and Organ Shatter, these mods together will get EB up to: (See Below)
- For more DPS we got True Steel and Berserker, together and at max berserker proc, you will be at an attack speed of 1.3
- For survivability we got life strike at rank 0, that's all you need, just stun any enemy and finish them and there you go.
- Now people may not agree with this part but I got Focus Energy and Reflex Coil to get us to 2 channelling cost but I feel its needed because if you cast a wave from EB into a pile of enemies now, you don't instantly lose 100 energy.

Now lets take a look at our final stats on EB after mods on melee are added.

!!!Remember, you won't do these exact numbers due to the different element resistances and armour of enemies, this is just the theoretical damage!!!

[1776 Damage - 6748.8 Critical]
[7104 Wall Attack Damage - 26995.2 Critical]
[3800.6 Spin Damage - 14442.4 Critical]
[3552 Leap Damage - 13497.6 Critical]
[24% Critical Chance]

Tips:

- Playing Excalibur is now really fun and truly is a swordsman, so use your damn sword, its his most powerful weapon now and will out DPS any primary or secondary.
- When doing a long high level mission, for example T4 Survival, around 30mins you may want to keep channelling up permanently as burst DPS enemies will most likely 2/3 shot you so you want to be constantly getting HP back.
- Prioritise your targets, taking Void for example go for Healing Ancients first as they just make everything unkillable then bombards, heavy gunners, nullifiers then everything else.
- With this build 1 stun with RB will give you enough time to revive 1 team mate.
- When stuff stops dying and there's no ancients to be seen, use RB then EB the F**k outa them, have fun killing again.
Prisma Dual Cleavers?
Ok, the void trader brought us some Prisma Dual Cleavers last time he arrived but are they viable with Excalibur's EB? In short yes, they're really nice with excal but you lose damage depending on what faction you're facing, since the slash is higher than Prisma Skana you will do more damage VS infested and flesh targets (enemies with red HP bar) but less VS armoured (enemies with yellow HP bar). Honestly I'd rather do more damage VS those armoured targets because 1. they're mostly heavy units (Heavy gunners, bombards) and most dangerous and 2. Flesh Targets are easy to kill anyway and the increase in damage with prisma cleavers, in my opinion just inst worth it.

But I'm not saying its bad because of that, there is 1 other thing, the syndicate effect proc. The Augment for the Dual Cleavers Deals:

1000 Blast Damage (Which knocks down enemies)
Restores 25% of Max HP
Increases your warframes base armour by 25%

The only thing that interested me was the knockdown which can be really nice to maybe revive a team mate without using RB but the armour increase just isn't worth it as +25% 'Base' armour on Excal is only 281, not much and in the long run wouldn't save you.

In the end its really a matter of personal preference, I prefer that corrosive proc from Prisma Skana where others may like that knockdown, but that's its anyway, below is the Dual Prisma Cleaver build I used, since it had high slash I used Buzz Kill and also a few pictures showing difference in damage for flesh and armoured. Also sorry about stupid image placements, nothing I can do about it, <3 Steam.

Dark Dagger?
The next weapon I tried out was the Dark Dagger and let me say, I was honestly surpised about this one and then the new dagger mod Covert Lethality came out and the Dark Dagger with EB became even more powerful, possbily your best choice with EB, now since U17.2 changes made it so you cant use Synicate mods with EB anymore I came up with 2 differnt builds, 1 focuses more on high crit dmg and the other focuses on more elemental dmg, lets check out the crit one first.

Keep in mind these builds are made for EB not the weapon itself.

Now lets move to my favourite build of the 2, a 3 element EB build mainly used for void, you got Radiation for those bomards, corrsive for heavy gunners, and heat for pretty much everything else.

In terms of dmg in Void the Dark Dagger is the probably one of the best to go with, but keep in mind now since synicate mods no longer work, pretty much any weapon is viable so go out there and experiment.
Video + Pictures.
Just couple of pictures and a video showing the massive damage you can get with this build.

I'm new to this game and was wondering if someone new can join the Alliance and maybe get some help? :D
Destrasz  [auteur] 22 jun 2016 om 6:22
You don't 'need' it but your gonna be dying alot come late-ish game since 1 shot from anything will drain all your shields+ half your hp, but you could use Arcane Grace or the easier to get Medi-Ray but its a HoT so again, it will fall off after time and as for no Rage, I can't really say, I've never gone without it but I don't think it would work well giving the level of energy drain from EB.
mutzila20 18 jun 2016 om 0:46
What if I don't use Rage on Excalibur and no Life Strike on the Skana?
Is it still a good build?
I mean HP doesn't regenerate without those, and putting yourself in the line of fire while meleeing is sure to drain a lot of it.
Destrasz  [auteur] 17 jun 2016 om 5:05
It's so I could put in another element to get corrosive, I personally only used Bright Purity for the AoE (Its still a great mod without it) but that got removed from EB. In short, its was just personal preference.
mutzila20 17 jun 2016 om 0:10
Hmm, why did you take out Bright Purity from the Skana?
Just curious.
Destrasz  [auteur] 2 jun 2016 om 6:44
You can use any weapon you'd like, its just the melee mods that affect EB, reason we use the mentioned melee weapons is cos they have weapon specific mods.
Arvyn 2 jun 2016 om 4:19
Still a newbie to Warframe. Do I have to use the weapon mentioned in the guide or can I use other melee weapons, even though the build won't reach full potential?
Destrasz  [auteur] 23 apr 2016 om 0:04
@ixfodisodn. Since base damage of the weapon doesn't change the damage of EB, no it wouldn't, we use Prisma Skana cos of the augment which gives 100% extra damage, pretty much a spoiled strike but without the attack speed loss.
Goopy Goblin 22 apr 2016 om 12:15
Wouldn't nikana prime be better than prisma skana?
