EDIT 3: So it's been a couple of years... 4? 5? Regardless, I've come back to this game with a breath of fresh air, and I think despite the strange cosmetics/sales/micro-transactions nonsense, the gameplay still holds up. The servers are well populated for EU (I heard it sucks in NA) and I feel like I adjusted to the mechanics of it quickly. I would recommend the game now but I am playing a lot more in the future to really determine if it holds.

EDIT 2: read the below sentence, disregard the first edit :)))

fix your trash game :)

EDIT 1:
In hindsight, a brash review like this was perhaps not the best idea. Instead of voicing my opinion, I should voice qualities in the game, and where it can go leading forward.

With that said, this game will make or break itself with the 1.0 release, speculated to come at the end of this year (2017.) The choices that the dev team has made with Microsoft has hindered the consistent PC update schedule they promised us back in the release month of March.

Now all gamers, PC and Xbox must wait to anticipate the reborn greatest game of 2018. I can only sincerely hope this is the result.

Early Access Review
Quite possibly the best game on Steam. Well, as of June 16th, it would be if just a few more people gave it a positive review. If you haven't played this game, try out the free demo to see how good it really is.

As a TL;DR for this review, I absolutely reccomend this game for anyone looking for an alternate art style game that delivers compelling stories with perfectly crafted combat and movement systems.

Dishonored, a game created by Arkane Studios, delves into the world of Corvo Attano, a highly respected assassin who must take back Emily Kaldwin, the kidnapped daughter of Jessamine Kaldwin. Using stealth or outright combat, along with a powers tree that is determined by the player, Corvo must make his way through multiple levels to silence those who oppose him, or to find out information of Emily's whereabouts.

The powers allow the player to choose how they play, they can even play without them. But they supply a whole range of attacks and advantages to Corvo that will shape the game world. For example, killing multiple people will riddle the game world with rats that can attack the player, and harsher enemies. A pacifist style player will see less rats, and a calmer world to deal with. These choices of powers come at a cost.

Throughout the world, players can find runes and bonecharms, the runes will supply the player with powers that they want to use, and the bonecharms offer bonuses such as a certain skill lasting longer, or sneaking quieter. These are just few examples. There is also a currency in the game, to buy equipment and upgrade them. Stealing fancy painting or wallets off of guards without their knowledge is just one way a player can expect to make money.

Dishonored is a game that can be played in so many different ways, and can reward you for doing so. Such as achievements and equipment in the game that tailors itself to a specific playstyle. Anyone new or veteran to a stealthy game like this is easily going to fit in, with just a bit of training with the blade and powers, you'll be the next Corvo Attano.

For my summary, the game is rewarding to a player that likes good play or good story, as the game supplies both at a beautifully high standard. Whilst it may no longer be the best, most cutting edge game or engine out there, it is sure to blow the likes of gamers away with its sheer immersion.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is for those who like stealth games combined with a series of alternating paths and actions to complete their targets, be it the same mission played again or an entirely different one. I suggest someone with a strong liking of Stealth genres to play this game, as it provides a greater sense of accomplishment when carrying out and fulfilling objectives without running or gunning, but I'm not saying you cannot do that.

The visuals are life like. They are true to real life in terms of physics, graphics and colour. The Phantom Pain achieved this vivid colour environment that makes it all feel so real when on the battlefield and when you take a break and let it all in. The huge mountains, the vast deserts, the giant buildings. Konami really pushed on bringing a game where you are not focusing all of your attention on just gameplay.

Controlling the game is easy to learn, yet hard to master. There is a skill gap between killing 5 people in succession without notice and just spraying them all down. On keyboard and controller I found this game just as easy to play, except for aiming of course, mouse will always be superior, but thankfully there is a built in subtle auto-aim, so you'll find yourself locking on to someone you want to, and not 180-ing to some poor soldiers head.

Gameplay is utterly superb, it is what makes this game stand out from Triple A Games released this year (2015). Any casual or hard-core gamer can pick this up after a brief look into what's going on and get into it for hours, I know I have, and I plan to for hours more to come. You can scope out environments and find out what soldiers are talking about for hints and tips, see how good a soldier is based on their stats and use it to your advantage. You can steal anything you get your hands on, soldiers, containers, cars. You name it, It's yours.

TL;DR The Phantom Pain is a triple A game for a reason, be a hard-core gamer or casual gamer, you will find something you like in this game. Don't be put off by its Stealth aspect, it doesn't have to be. Think of this game as a sandbox game with a story and atmosphere that will keep you coming back for more, and the same thing never happens twice.

CS:GO Review
Spent £100 on fancier looking guns, despite being terrible.
I've probably pressed F more times than MOUSE1.

A very beautiful game, amazing scenery and interaction.
10/10 would waste time looking at stuff rather than follow the plot again.
