Rotorless Graphical Radar
point 5. of installation guide
ty for the answer :)

you still missing the point on what to do with the lcd pannel ;-)
do i need to name the lcd pannel something special or to enter its name somewhere in the script?
(if you havent commented the instructions in the script itself that would be helpfull for non-script ppl^^)

for the "RPM" issue - Rotation speed[en.wikipedia.org]
but thats a bit complicated - so i vote for writing it out, because "RPM" is misleading - but up to you ofc :)

access the remote control block data?
i mean it already detects the "friend or foe" state and report it to the hud if in antenna range ;-)
this data must be accessable somehow...

its an amazing work! - have no idea how you even realize it xP
but could you find a way that the radar wont "cut" at the bottom? :)

is it possible to do the same a bit more "modern"/"fancy" with colored "donts"?
yellow for enemy lifeforms (players, spiders, wolfs), red for enemy craft/bases, blue for own stuff and green for allied stuff (maybe lime for allied players :)

also maybe just a small mistake - but what does "RPM" in "radar matter" mean? :D
normaly it means "rounds per minute" - but radar "noise/signals" are named in "frequenzies" like "hertz" :)

sorry for the poor english, its late here :)
still amazing work!!!

To avoid cutting the bottom you can set the fontsize to 0.3f in the script, but it looks uglier. You can't have different colors. It's a limitation with the LCD block. The rpm is just the rotation speed of the line. I don't know if it's actual rounds per minute or not. I just mean rotation speed.

I was wrong. I can actually draw with different colors. But i haven't figured out how to ID targets to see if they are friendly or hostile. I don't know if i can.

Does the front of the remote need to be completely free of obstruction? I have it behind one armour block and one window on my ship...

It depends on the block. I think regular armor blocks are ok, but i don't know about glass.

but how does the lcd pannel work?
BlackRedDead 13 Jan, 2018 @ 11:25am
Edit the script to change settings such as range, and RPM, and set correct block names. If the script can't find the correct block names, it just randomly grabs what it needs from the grid, so it might mess up your other lcd's if you have any and it can't find "Text panel".
if your question was how to get it to work that is how ;-)
examine the script and you can find the required blocknames (the names to be given to the respective blocks so the script recognizes them, you could change them in the script if they don't please you too)

if that wasn't your question please reformulate it :)

Those who can read should succeed! - but tbf, it's a quite old script by now, questionable if it still works with current ver. of SE! - so if you followed the instructions and it still don't work = meh
If you have real issues with understanding 'how to', you should at least formulate them concretely! ;-) (only then ppl might be able to help you!)
