Hey folks,

I'll be looking at this mod again soon so I can update it properly for 1.3 and the ideology expansion.

I'm also giving those that subscribe to this mod the opportunity to influence any changes I might make. I might get rid of some features and I may add new features.

let me hear your ideas.

I like some of the textures and the idea behind a more painted aesthetic. Purely subjectively, though, it clashes with too much of both vanilla and modded stuff for my tastes. Many of the textures a bit too 'busy' and cluttered; particularly rough stone and sand, as well as straw matting, which I think affects readability. Especially if there's trash on the ground.

Really love the smoothed ground stone textures (like marble), but it has a hard line transition between smoothed and rough. Maybe it's possible to have it as a more gradual fade?

There are also some textures, like the ornate wall, that while beautiful, are *too* detailed - and those details are not seen at all, unless you are using Camera+ to zoom in as close as possible. Otherwise they just look like noise.

And for your other mod, Extra Walls and Floors: it would be nice if more of the options were drop-down.

Thank you for the feedback. The smoothed stone with the hard line is just a consequence of me deriving them from another tiled floor. There is one line of code that will change that so its an easy one. I included that floor really just so players could polish off any cave floors that they might have smoothed (like patches of soil) so It was almost always going to fit against a hard edge anyway.

I agree on the hay being too detailed, I spent alot of time looking for the ideal one and got frustrated in the end and went with what I had. If you have an alternative suggestion I will consider changing it.

The idea behind the ornate wall was the same as the tiles, where they were intended to be feature walls/tiles in among the less detailed ones but to be honest I've never actually used it that much beyond the initial colony I made it for. I'd be inclined just to ask you to use the others (i like the classic stone bricks the most) but if I do feel the urge to come back to this and make changes, i'll look at finding a better theme for the spot.

Regarding the rough stone. I could possibly just see about reducing it to 50% transparency or so and adding the smooth other texture over it so it's not so harsh. Shouldn't cause too many complaints from other players then.

I installed this into an existing game and now all the ground of a certain type is tribal floors and cannot be removed. The base looks great though lol
