Hey there! Before asking "when is the next update", please take a look at my Starbound Mods Status Sheet[docs.google.com]!
All information relating to my modding schedule and the current state of my mods can be found there! Thank you for your patience.

Want unique differences between Starbound's races - such as immunities and resistances while playing? This is THE MOD for YOU!
Introducing the Race Traits mod!!

This mod adds unique differences between all the vanilla races of Starbound. The Apex can be immune to cold! The Avians take less fall damage!
Each unique stat change and difference means an entirely different playthrough each time! You can either flee from your weaknesses..or buff yourself with resistance augments that come with the vanilla game!

Over 200+ unique modded races are supported!
Don't wanna play with just vanilla races? Support has already been created - and even some race mod authors have been personally contacted and have given their OFFICIAL support of this mod!
If you want to see the full list of supported race mods for this version, please check out this Collection!

List of every supported race's stats: Race Traits - Stats Sheet[docs.google.com]

Old and new characters can have racial traits!
No new characters needed! But, you can make new characters if you want to!

If you want NPCs to be affected by the stat changes, please use this addon!
(But be sure to read about the risks before installing!)

Don't want to use Race Traits all the time? You can disable it via the interface menu!
Just look for the big yellow button to the upper right of the interface! When you disable RT, it'll remember your decision and not turn it back on. However, NPCs will still keep their racial traits if you have the addon.

You can also make your own patches!
A handy guide has already been created for aspiring modders who want to add their own races! But please, it is preferred you ask us directly!
Race Traits - Patch Guide

Character creator not showing up right?
That's probably because the mod compensates for some very large race descriptions at times. The species tooltip is a bit large! I suggest going into fullscreen or trying race extension mods that have races further up the screen.

Don't like how the mod handles things? No worries! Just make sure you delete the "Race Traits Viewer" item, disable Race Traits from the interface, and uninstall!
We did a lot of testing to make sure this mod was uninstall-friendly. If you encounter a problem while uninstalling, please let us know!

Either way... How you play? It's up to you.

Yes, this mod is compatible with FU.
Note: Do NOT harrass the FU/FR team about this mod. This mod is not "competition for FU". This mod is simply a non-FU stat mod - for fun.
This team does not condone harassment of any FU team members, or of the mod itself. These mods are separate - in code and in execution.
Thank you.

What custom race mods does it support?

No worries, I know "TRY" is a big order for this issue. I can't even imagine why its happening. I gave up trying to figure it out. It's not a big deal.

@SaiyanMonkey
I don't know. I can't answer this with so little information. I'd need a log, or to know what mods you use, such as FU or whatnot.

@Engineer Gaming
Thanks for the report.

@multipeen
Sounds like I need to look into this. Thanks!

Wait until you hear this crazy development. I removed every folder from , taking them out in chunks to narrow down the issue. There are no files left in AAR except the _metadata file that describes the mod. Racial Traits still will not show for Fragmented Ruin. Once I take out the metadata file... Racial Traits shows up for Fragmented Ruin. I have no clue why the mods metadata file would be doing this. It will probably take someone much smarter than myself to explain it.

I do assume it has something to do with the priority maybe? I lowered AAR to priority -1 and Racial Traits shows correctly. But I need AAR set to 9998 because one of the mods it patches has a priority of 9997. But any way you slice it... the priority shouldnt really matter... but there are no files in the mod any more. It changes nothing about the game, but it still conflicts with Racial Traits change of the Fragmented Ruins description.

That's odd o.o
I have both installed and before it worked like normal
but now I'm having that same problem
projectmayhem 17 JUL a las 3:19 p. m.
I found the issue, though its even more confusing now. Armor Augments Reborn causes the Fragmented Ruin description from this mod to not show up. When I removed Armor Augments Reborn, the description is the Racial Traits description. When I add Armor Augments Reborn back... the racial traits description vanishes. No clue why, Armor Augments Reborn doesn't have anything to do with Fragmented Ruins species or Racial Traits. It just adds augment slots onto armors.
projectmayhem 17 JUL a las 2:57 p. m.
That is what I assumed as well, but that means another file would need to be changing the description of Fragmented Ruin, and there are not many Fragmented Ruin related mods. Not only that, it would need to be changing the description back to its default values, which is weird. I made a mod and used the fragmentedruin.species.patch file from this mod and the changed description showed up fine. But if I remove the mod I made to change the description, it goes back to the mods original description instead of the racial trait one. It's really baffling me.
