Why Early Access?

“It's mostly me developing this game on my own.

But this game wouldn't be as close as good as it is if it wasn't for the feedback of the community. This made me realize that to make this game as good as it can possibly be I have to gather as much feedback as possible. Early Access allows me to have people try the game so I can:
- Gather Player feedback
- Refine gameplay
- Balance the game properly
- Discover bugs
- Test across many different hardware setups”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will be in Early Access until I'm happy with the features, stability, elegance and polish it brings.

It is hard to say how long will this take, but I'd love to finish it all in under 6 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full version I plan to add Steam Achievements, chess norms, proper chess titles (female too!), coaches, 2nds, improved match simulation, simultaneous exhibitions, different playing chess sets.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“A chess career can be played across many years. You can join many tournaments all over the world, play matches with and without your AI character help, improve your player through chess puzzle training, and even become a world chess champion.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to raise the price gradually as the game ships new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community is very active on Discord already and brought many improvements to this version of the game. I take into consideration all suggestions, bug reports and improvements mentioned in the server.”
