Yes, you can, but keep in mind that this mod has been created before the latest update of the game. Maybe you could better use my other mod "Courting & Marriage" which is created after the update, is much smaller in size and can be used with all DLCs and third party mods.

can i add this mod to a midgame savegame?
Altbert  [author] 5 Nov, 2017 @ 3:56pm
@jnanderson: No, you cannot marry any race in vanilla Skyrim. See this page [en.uesp.net] for details. Indeed no one cares about two females or two males getting married, but in vanilla Skyrim some races or sexes of races are excluded from the marriage system because of their voicetype. Their voicetype simply doesnt' have the marriage conversation. This includes Khajiit, Bosmer, male Redguard and male Altmer.

You can marry any race or sex in Skyrim. No one cared if two girls or two boys married, so.... I am not sure why you said you cannot marry a Redguard if you're playing a female.

Can't another mod be interfering? I haven't made any changes to quests, just made the NPCs marriable by putting them in the potential marriage faction and changed their relationship rank towards the player. With "all the mods" I suppose you mean only the merged ones and maybe the DLC editions. In that case there is no need to install the other ones, or you just shouldn't because that will definitely cause conflicts. As for Khajiit, I have placed new and unique males and females in the game, because vanilla Khajiit can't be married. The custom Khajiit have indeed the Argonian voicetype, the only way to make them marriable. Vanilla Khajiit have not been changed.

Umm after I installed all the mod i found out that some of the quests get messed up, namely you dont have to do the quests or events needed to but houses for solitude, markarth and falkreath (for whiterun there is no problem, haven't tested the others yet). you can just buy them immediately after arriving there and when you talk to the jarl after you bought it he/she will give you all the quests for it at once.
Also khajiit arent able to "speak" their normal lines because you changed them to argonian i think. Jzargo just stares at my while the subtitles go on.... same for some of the travelling merchants.

Sorry, but the armor is just looks! They can be married but are no followers. This is no follower mod. But, when I'm out if ideas ... who knows?
HellbirdIV 15 Dec, 2013 @ 2:38pm
It hasn't been made clear to me, are the various "Custom Altmer" added in this mod available as Followers once married, with corresponding classes? I've seen a few armed and armored looking ready to take on anything, but there's no dialogue to recruit or hire them as with most Follower mods.

Wow, I'd either need a *lot* of patience or a *whole* lot of caffeine. :P Thank you for the effort.
Altbert  [author] 24 Oct, 2013 @ 2:09pm
Yes, I had to change faction and relationship for each NPC individually! But, once you get the hang of it, it's no problem.
AzraelMuad-Dib 24 Oct, 2013 @ 1:38pm
Now that's what I call flexibility. :) Did you have to change the criteria on every single last npc??? Either way, thank you.
Hieronymus Flex 24 Oct, 2013 @ 12:55pm
Definitly adds convenience, I'd install the mod myself if it weren't for the fact that all my characters are already married (and i dont plan on making another for a while). I just wanted to mention the commands for those who wanted to marry people they aren't supposed to, or to get the already marriable people to like them so they get the option.
Altbert  [author] 24 Oct, 2013 @ 2:19am
@Sheogorath: True! But with these plugins you don't have to use console commands.
Hieronymus Flex 23 Oct, 2013 @ 10:03pm
oh and for the second one, you have to click on them as well, forgot to mention that.
Hieronymus Flex 23 Oct, 2013 @ 10:02pm
You can make all NPCs marriable through console commands, simply open the console, click on the one you want to marry, and type: addfac 19809 1

Another useful console command is: setrelationshiprank 4
or: player.setrelationshiprank 4
(i dont remember which one to use), in any case, this makes the person you are talking to like you enough to marry you, so this combined with the other one and you can charm the pants off anyone. I even used this to marry Jarl Elisif on one of my characters.

From sheer lack of technical details I will try the prank in Diplomatic Immunity but, if possible with the NPC in question I as the prankster will cease the prank to follow through honestly. If the Thalmor don't see advantage gained in the process then the Feudalism of Skyrim is broken... Yes, it's that absurd... You could almost feel sorry for the staff. Almost.

Cool, I'll barhop. 'Love the blondes.
Altbert  [author] 15 Jul, 2013 @ 4:20am
You can find them (custom Altmer) in various inns throughout Skyrim, when not travelling between cities. Vanilla Altmer are at their original locations (see http://www.uesp.net for their locations). Sorry, I have made no list.
biggestmexican 15 Jul, 2013 @ 12:27am
Promise looms & I'm grateful. Is a list locating these added buxom elfin beauties available & are they also followers? Thank you.

Thanks thats what I needed to know I appreciate it & if there is no confliction you did great job if I have one i'll ask you thanks again
Altbert  [author] 24 Oct, 2012 @ 11:20am
The NPCs in this mod only require Skyrim.esm and do not require any of the DLCs, not even the Update.esm (but you probably have this one automatically).
itzadunndeal 24 Oct, 2012 @ 8:24am
Are the marriageable's behind the dawnstar marriageable npc do they recquire a dlc like dawnstar to use if it does then which one
Altbert  [author] 15 Oct, 2012 @ 12:38pm
Did you already have a housecarl/steward, or a bard in your Hearthfire home? Then, check the beds in your home and maybe find these all "owned"! Even the children's beds!! If that's the case your spouse, whoever she is, and your possible children won't move to your HF home.
Statman 15 Oct, 2012 @ 12:12pm
has anyone noticed you can't move (atleast) nenya to hearthfire home
Altbert  [author] 6 Oct, 2012 @ 2:56pm
All single females are potentially marriageable, but this doesn't say they will marry you!
Daughter of Slaanesh 5 Oct, 2012 @ 12:51am
How do you marry Elenwen
Mr.Potato 30 Sep, 2012 @ 11:05am
cool
MGdragon13 26 Sep, 2012 @ 11:43am
alright, thank you for the clarification! Going to try this out now and have some fun :D
Altbert  [author] 25 Sep, 2012 @ 5:12pm
In general: added are all the unique, named NPCs. When you approach an NPC and you see Hunter, Guard, Bandit or the like, then they are not marriageable. When you see a name, they are most probably marriageable, but not all. Some named NPCs are not unique, but they are a minority. Also, it depends on the way how you play the game, whether or not you see the "Interested in me ..." conversation option. I found it very nice to see, that when I entered the Thieves Guild and did the first few assignments, that Haelga did not want to marry me anymore.
MGdragon13 25 Sep, 2012 @ 1:43pm
Can I get a list of added npcs to the marriage list? Thanks!
