this mod is no longer being updated or developed. The XML behind it is pretty simple, so you could always make your own version and use the pistol asset art
You have to flip it. Captain Kirk has to flip it because its cool.
Anyway, anime designers are usually very loyal to the sources, they dont really do combinations unless they have to, so its probably just one with cool added as necessary. They usually do very good research on even the small things.
Low-bore-axis revolvers do exist (firing from bottom of cylinder rather than the top for improved recoil control and lower muzzle flip). But few look anything close to Vash's pistol, as the top half of the front of the gun would be wasted space. The only use for that much material above the barrel would be to just add mass for further recoil damping, but then it would be unbalanced unless you also added a dense material to the handle which would make the gun's overall weight quite high...
Also Vash's pistol is a "break-action" / "top-break", where as the real-life ones I mentioned aren't. Vash's pistol is a combination gun, inspired by multiple firearms and their features.
As for working on this.... EEEEEERH not much demand and there isn't toooo much wrong with it. Should work ingame fine (i think). I don't really play rimworld (or much of anything anymore) so I don't have much of a drive to get everything "to spec". But, it should(?) be functional and not spamming people with errors.

was mostly an experiment back in alpha-whatever to see if I could add a weapon that the NPCs wouldnt spawn with. The graphic is waaaay too big for a pistol, and the XML definately needs some work as I've just been updating it to not error rather than to work properly xD
I guess I'll have to uninstall Don't Tempt Me than and just maintain a strong willpower.
I dunno if there's some way it's gotta be set up in the mod order, it exists, because if I look through the list of stuff in the Scenario editor it's there. The additional problem is even if I add it to the scenario it doesn't actually spawn like other items.
Any idea why this might be?
There's no backwards compatibility, and I forgot to save the old version... Shouldn't be hard to remake; if anyone has a problem please message me

As for non-lethal damage, that would likely require some C# code that I'm not going to write... This is a _very_ quick throw-together mod... If someone else wants to take it over and improve on it they're more than welcome to. But I don't plan on expanding it.
