I cannot build the building because they showing me "Does not allow for the creation of clone armys". How can I fix this Error?
Mosley was right 8. mai 2019 kl. 14.45
Awesome! Thanks for leaving the LC version up! 2.2 sucks ass.
King Lemming  [skaper] 25. apr. 2019 kl. 12.51
Well, it's supported (and works) in 2.1.
Gerishnakov 25. apr. 2019 kl. 4.41
@barkertommy43 this mod is no longer supported.
barkertommy43 24. apr. 2019 kl. 20.10
So I see a few non-primary species that I can clone, but when I try to clone any pop the pop doesn't grow and just disappears. Whats going on? Also my primary specie does not show up in the clone-able species list, why?
MightNight 17. des. 2018 kl. 21.07
Ah well R.I.P. Thanks for all the hard work you put on this mod bud!
King Lemming  [skaper] 17. des. 2018 kl. 21.04
Robots are hardcoded. This can't really be a thing anymore. :/
MightNight 17. des. 2018 kl. 20.09
Damn it...nothing is ever that simple lol
King Lemming  [skaper] 17. des. 2018 kl. 19.56
Yeah it's not that simple I'm afraid.
MightNight 17. des. 2018 kl. 14.43
Hey king how about adding an extra tab next to the Robot building tab which works exactly like the robot assembly? Your building would allow jobs named Gene Doctors which add "Pop Assembly" points to that third tab.
This would allow you to Grow regular pops + build robots + build pops! :D
In_sanity 12. des. 2018 kl. 7.57
Just as an idea, you could still repurpose it into a planetary decision, since new pops now need fixed growth. Or the decision just straigth up gives a pop, or something, since clearing a blocker can give a pop I can't see why something like this couldn't. I would be glad to see this mod go on. :)
King Lemming  [skaper] 9. des. 2018 kl. 12.36
Yeah - so much changed with 2.2 that some of these mods simply aren't going to make the jump.

This is *probably* one of them. Thematically, PDX seems to have repurposed the Clone Vats to do what I was already doing here with the Genomics Facility.

And buildable pop hacks aren't a thing anymore - robots are pretty well hardcoded it seems. End of an era, but I'm not bothered by it. :)
Selmephren 9. des. 2018 kl. 12.16
Hey thanks for updating the title and discription for these mods! Easy to see that they aren't for the 2.2 update and will be a sinch to see if/when you put out something for 2.2.
Gerishnakov 27. okt. 2018 kl. 13.24
Hmm must be another mod messing with it. I'll check for compatibility issues. Cheers for the response.
King Lemming  [skaper] 25. okt. 2018 kl. 14.30
Yup. Still works. You may have another mod messing it up though, or you're using a custom race which unfortunately just isn't supported.
Gerishnakov 25. okt. 2018 kl. 12.41
Is this still functional? I tried building a clone (of my main empire species) and it seemed to grow just like a normal growing pop, plus, while it was growing there was no 'regular' growing pop for my main species, as if the clone had replaced it rather than growing separately.
Daddy Quack Quack 18. aug. 2018 kl. 7.33
Hmmm.... No prequel quotes? It's treason then! btw great mod
hi3r0ph4nt 11. aug. 2018 kl. 13.37
*and SC mod manager dosen't show any conflicts
hi3r0ph4nt 11. aug. 2018 kl. 13.36
the same thing happening to me as with finalxboss, sometimes they survive sometimes they don't
The Erubian Warlord 27. juni 2018 kl. 22.32
if you make it so you can clone non primary races can you add a way to clone D.A. cyborg pops?
Shadow Dragon 21. juni 2018 kl. 7.28
Could you make it possible to clone other species than the primary species? For exaple my slave species ^^
Focrei 1. juni 2018 kl. 14.38
Yes they were custom species, how would i make a compatibility patch?
King Lemming  [skaper] 1. juni 2018 kl. 12.58
Custom portraits, or custom species?

Any removal would be unintentional but unfortunately necessary due to the extra mechanical flexibility of being able to clone any species in your empire. I think for custom species, there would have to be a compatibility mod.
Focrei 1. juni 2018 kl. 12.02
Did you remove the ability to use custom portraits with this mod during the update?
King Lemming  [skaper] 15. mai 2018 kl. 13.03
You probably have another mod breaking it somehow, then.
Nazbol Gang 15. mai 2018 kl. 9.17
My clone pops immediatly die when i try to grow them. Im not any form of spiritualist and ive got mass cloning on Unrestricted.
All hail the Cartlord 26. apr. 2018 kl. 15.40
(Note that this may be listed compatible somewhere, but I'm asking this question on every mod I have because screw 2.0)
Is this mod compatible with V1.9? Or is there a seperate version, possibly?
OriginXVII 25. apr. 2018 kl. 17.53
Can we not clone slave populations with this? I've got a few worlds with slaves on them and since they dont grow fast enough i was hoping this would help that. I haven't had an option to make cloned slave pops.
Chastity the Celibate 18. apr. 2018 kl. 17.37
Is the Mass Cloning Ban wargoal a CB now? Or has it been removed?
TheFirstPaige 15. apr. 2018 kl. 0.12
They technically worked perfectly - if you ignore that servitors can't unlock the tech because they can't research cloning, and that assimilators can't stockpile food to pay for the mass cloned pops. Ended up testing it through making a whole bunch of exceptions in the code. If you do end up thinking of including biotrophy and cyborg pops, you might need to consider these issues.
TheFirstPaige 14. apr. 2018 kl. 22.13
Though I'm pretty sure it should work, I'm gonna test to see if it works with biotrophy and cyborg pops, for machine empires. I'll let you know how it turns out.
King Lemming  [skaper] 14. apr. 2018 kl. 6.29
Oh interesting. I shall do that. :) Thanks!
TheFirstPaige 12. apr. 2018 kl. 15.18
Hey King Lemming, you could allow the cloning to make any species in your empire by changing "species = founder_species" in the buildable pops code to "species_class = HUM" and repeating the code block for each catagory of biological pops (MAM, REP, etc).

I've made the change in a local copy myself and it's so far shown to be working. Even allows you to select with gene template to build from.

Keep up the good work.
Raider1 16. mars 2018 kl. 11.24
I am really enjoying this mod. The timed effects on the built clones are a really nice touch and help to balance things.

My experience has been great, but you might want to increase the cost of the buildable clones. Maybe a LOT more food (like 250 each?). I know that buildable robots are similarly priced, but they don't reproduce, and that way the clones are still consuming a similar amount of food as to what it would take to grow an extra pop over time. Just my thoughts.
MightNight 3. mars 2018 kl. 22.54
*insert evil laugh*
King Lemming  [skaper] 3. mars 2018 kl. 22.49
Updated for 2.0. Everyone can stop bothering me about it now. :)

No changes, because you know, I didn't have time to change anything. So no promises that I won't at some point and mess up a game in progress. Not planning on it, just saying.
MightNight 3. mars 2018 kl. 16.13
I am just tempted on firing this sucker up and see what sort of damage it would cause to my savegame...
MightNight 28. feb. 2018 kl. 23.04
I just wanna clone pops :'(
Gerishnakov 28. feb. 2018 kl. 9.20
@King Lemming here's hoping we'll be able to build clones of races besides our empire's main species ;-)
Xenos 28. feb. 2018 kl. 7.49
@Timrath: religion is not the same as western monotheism. Buddhists already believe the soul and personal identity are illusions, for instance. But this brings us back to the old Stellaris problem of spiritualism meaning a thousand different things, while materialism is a relatively well defined philosophy.
Furykuiku'l 25. feb. 2018 kl. 3.45
only use for clones is to fight in the armies of my mighty empire and die by the billons for its glory the question of a soul is not a factor as the only one that has a say in the empire is the head of state and all others live to serve him those that do not are purged
MightNight 24. feb. 2018 kl. 18.48
But...but :'(
King Lemming  [skaper] 24. feb. 2018 kl. 18.44
Okay, so I've updated *most* of my mods to 2.0+.

I'm going to give this one just a bit more thought and see if I can rework it slightly and add some features. There's a lot of new stuff that modders have access to (and some removed stuff), so let's see what I can do.

Patience, please. :)
Timrath 24. feb. 2018 kl. 18.31
@Rohzedear "I really don't see why Spiritualists would have a problem with clones."
They would have a problem with it, because religious people already have a problem with cloning in real life. Creating life being god's prerogative, and similar rubbish. Also, cloning throws up the question of whether clones have a soul, and if souls can be mass-produced, then the order of the universe is thrown into chaos, n' stuff.
King Lemming  [skaper] 23. feb. 2018 kl. 21.24
Just got back from travel, I'll be updating this ASAP. Initially, I may strip out a lot of things to be 2.0 compliant, but I'll re-add them back as able.
MightNight 23. feb. 2018 kl. 18.51
Still good?
Rohzdear 16. feb. 2018 kl. 19.04
I really don't see why Spiritualists would have a problem with clones. They are already ok with clone armies, so why not pops as well.

Rather, I think the ones who would have a problem with allowing the government to just create people would be egalitarians, while autoritharians would have a problem with restricting the goverment's ability to determine their props.
Gerishnakov 3. feb. 2018 kl. 3.10
Have you considered allowing clones of any species in your empire/on the planet you're producing the clone? Would this be too difficult?
San-Kyu 6. jan. 2018 kl. 19.54
Do AI mods like Glavius' AI megamod prevent AI empires from correctly using the new additions in Stellar Expansion mods? I'm really interested in adding these things for my foray into machine consciousness but I'm worried that'll the extra complexity would screw over the AI.
Shadow Dragon 6. jan. 2018 kl. 11.22
Can I clone only my founder species?
