I had added it in a compilation with all my HeroQuest units, but the moderators took it down due to copyright issues. I may try to release only the Gargoyles in the future.

Please, is there an intention to develop this mod for TW: Warhammer 2?
Decomposed  [Autor] 2. Aug. 2018 um 14:34
Thanks mate, glad you like them :)
stofffe92 2. Aug. 2018 um 14:25
That is good. Differentiality, variety and uniqueness is very good.
Decomposed  [Autor] 2. Aug. 2018 um 14:08
Yeah, after I made it for the WoC, people kept asking for a Vampire Counts version, so here it is! Though I made it a bit different, I made the Gargoyles smaller in size, faster and with vanguard, so they have a different role.
stofffe92 2. Aug. 2018 um 13:50
Oh! There it was! I thought I had seen a Gargoyle mod for the VC already, and that's why I mentioned that Gargoyles would fit the VC in the comments section of your WoC Gargoyles mod.

My bad haha. xD

@BladeLuoxi Hello! No, they are not included in any compilation.
Decomposed  [Autor] 20. Mrz. 2018 um 7:53
Hmm, it could be that this mod changes some unit groups, I'm not sure. Actually, I have moved on to WH2 now and don't plan to return to WH1 again.
Iron 20. Mrz. 2018 um 6:42
kk cherrs for checking, just in case anyone else has had this issue, when using Ancient Vampire Tec mod they did'nt seem to gain from those tec's. but dif mods have dif effects so not trying to lay any blame on your mod.
Decomposed  [Autor] 19. Mrz. 2018 um 11:44
So, I checked the groups. The Gargoyles gain every tech that also affects Dire Wolves, Fell Bats, Vargheists and Varghulfs.

I also have a single Gargoyle unit mod that is pretty much like you describe below. Slow and hard-hitting. You may want to try it. It's for the Warriors of Chaos faction though.

As for a SFO version, feel free to edit the stats and release it as you wish. Just provide a link to my mod in your description as credit :)
Iron 19. Mrz. 2018 um 11:23
Cheers for reply m8, i read your taking a break, if your not up to doing any more tweaks, wonder if brain pick would be ok in the future as i'm new to making mods, like adding effect to with Undead Overhaul that makes all undead rooted to Lord leadership rather than the units.
Iron 19. Mrz. 2018 um 11:08
In testing with SFO them small numbers meant they get swamp quickly, and start losing even to basic Empire sword unit :P
Iron 19. Mrz. 2018 um 10:54
Suggested version of this mod for SFO, ideadly use with Undead Overhaul & Ancient Vamp tect.
Keep the no regen, no heal, Stone, Anti Infanty & Vanguard Dep.
Reduce speed to 28 (slow clunky statues) - same as heavy armored foot knight.
Reduce Defence to 5 (again slow clunk) + Health to 4000 (in large groupof 23).
Increase Armor or Physical Res so only High AP & Magic Attacks will damage them (Stone Skin).
Pos Added flight - speed 66 (gliding stautes).
Increase Damage to 80 + Tags Anti large 15 & AP 15 (big stone fists & teeth & Wings).
So in total = Slow moving, All but magic weapons bounce off, does'nt hit alot, but when it does Ouch !!!.
Ideal for Gate battering Seige assaut, or Renforcing the Line.
Not Sure about Cost or Upkeep, what do you think ?
Decomposed  [Autor] 19. Mrz. 2018 um 8:48
@Iron Yes, I've added them to a unit group, so they can gain buffs. I'll let you know as soon as I get home from work.
Iron 19. Mrz. 2018 um 7:36
Nice Mod, would be good to know if they can be buffed through reserch, if so what ?
Decomposed  [Autor] 12. Mrz. 2018 um 3:36
@DarkDrago I am taking a break from modding atm. If another user wishes to update it with a link to my workshop as credit, they are allowed to. Otherwise, I will probably do it sometime after Norsca comes out for Mortal Empires.
Gwynedd 00 11. Mrz. 2018 um 19:29
Hi there will this mod be updated for total war warhammer 2.
Decomposed  [Autor] 6. Nov. 2017 um 1:36
The Gargoyles for VC have more models per unit (30 in ultra) while for WoC it's a single model bigger in size. The WoC version is also stronger and more expensive in recruitment and upkeep. It also has a healing ability that these Gargoyles don't have. Hope this helps! Feedback is welcome of course.
Blade 5. Nov. 2017 um 16:50
So, compared with your "Gargoyle", this is for vampire? And it seems you made this unit mod stronger than your original one?
Thank you.
Decomposed  [Autor] 2. Okt. 2017 um 22:37
Have you built the right building when playing as VC?
Kenjataimu 2. Okt. 2017 um 14:46
I'm not seeing the gargoyles ingame. Mod conflict?
rune1993 27. Sep. 2017 um 9:43
@Decomposed i have done that in few place only problem is most of the time no one really offers you have to be lucky but hope someone does.
Decomposed  [Autor] 27. Sep. 2017 um 9:07
@rune1993 Cool idea. I would make it for you, but I'm involved in some projects right now and don't have time. Maybe another modder will step up.
rune1993 27. Sep. 2017 um 5:28
i took a look at the modding a dont think i will be able to do it mostly because of my disability i couldent understand all the data stuff and what to do. also i just kept getting errors with the tool kit and the pack file manager dosent seem what to work.

what i mainly wanted to do other than your gargoyal is make my own large unit i wanted to take a single skin walker or werewolf and enlarge it basicaly making large one thats good for siege attacks to and is big and strong but the problems i cant do it.
rune1993 26. Sep. 2017 um 13:08
@Decomposed thanks for the offer of help i will look into doing it tomorrow i am seeing about doing a werewolf/skin walker one aswell.
Decomposed  [Autor] 26. Sep. 2017 um 13:01
@rune1993 Yes, it is a single unit like a giant. But currently I don't make separate versions of my mods as it is very time consuming to update all of them everytime CA releases a patch. It is easy to make it available to Vampires if you want to try it yourself by downloading the Pack File Manager. If you need help, I can guide you through.
rune1993 26. Sep. 2017 um 12:49
@Decomposed thanks for the reply and other mod sugestion i dont realy play chaose i mostly play vamps or orcs if i feel like playing them i plan on playing wood elfs if i get it the dlc. am i right to say that mod the unit is just one single unit like giants if so could you think about or try to make it available for vamps or the empire and orcs mostly vamps and empire as they seem more likely to have a unit like that.
Decomposed  [Autor] 26. Sep. 2017 um 12:41
@rune1993 Yo, thanks for the feedback and for your kind words!

Unfortunately, there is no animation for flying Malagor (I retextured his model), so I don't think I can make them fly :(

1) I have given them physical, range and fire resistance. I'll see if I need to increase the range one.

2) Have you seen this? http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=854389452
This boy also has the siege attacker ability ;)
rune1993 26. Sep. 2017 um 11:15
hey nice units but i got 1 question and 1 or 3 sugestions so the question are you able to make them similar to the vergise where there flying but land to attack as gargoyal are known to be able to fly.

sugestion 1 - as they are made of stone they should have a beter range defence with the melee defence as arrows dont really damage stone that well. i used them in a siege to help againsed the gate but were nearly wiped out by arrows before they got there.

suggestion 2 - if you are able instead of adding a siege ability you could do a seperate unit a single unit like the example giants there 1 big unit that is good at knocking down gates you could make 1 large gargoyal as a mix of siege unit but also good again infentry or cevelry.

it would have a meelee and range defence but so its not overpowerd not as much as normal gargoyal. then give it similar stats to a giant just with as said meelee and range defence it would be slower as well.

though they are nice units and look good.

@Duke Hey not a bad idea!
Duke 4. Sep. 2017 um 14:49
make an undead mammoth ye? i mean if we can kill it we can raise it!
Decomposed  [Autor] 23. Aug. 2017 um 9:06
@Luna Glad you like it! It's not in my plans, sorry. But there are a few mods in the workshop that do exactly what you're after.
jayful 23. Aug. 2017 um 6:31
Thanks for this. Could you possibly make an artillery unit for the vampires.
Decomposed  [Autor] 17. Aug. 2017 um 14:51
Updated for Norsca patch.
Decomposed  [Autor] 10. Aug. 2017 um 10:53
@Axlegolas No, the animation doesn't allow it unfortunately. I've made them very fast to compensate.
[PuB] Axlegolas 10. Aug. 2017 um 4:41
Can they "Fly"?
Flamboyant Schemer61 8. Aug. 2017 um 18:00
Here is a SFO compatible patch for this mod:

http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1104850474

thanks for the amazing mods and permission Deco!
yoyo 14. Jul. 2017 um 4:22
Ok,Thanks ! Gargoyles from Chaos maybe the special one because it's a different faction, the faction of Evil by excelllence, so i understand your decision to make that.
Decomposed  [Autor] 13. Jul. 2017 um 13:01
@yoyo I have given them high defence and armour since they are made of stone. I just experimented a bit with this unit and made them fast and good at charging, because I had made a Chaos version first and it is more like a "tank" :P But thanks for the feedback, I will probably update the mod in the next weeks and add some of your ideas.
yoyo 13. Jul. 2017 um 12:52
I prefer to see them in front line for take the ennemy charge because they are makes in stone so good defense and scare ennemy, if you can change the stats lowers: very fast and charge because like i said before they are in stone, you can change that by another like special ability dark magik or others. Thanks for your mod and your time.
Sorry for my bad english if isn't correct my language is the french.
Decomposed  [Autor] 12. Jul. 2017 um 23:56
@yoyo Thank you and glad you enjoy the mod! Currently, I've set the models to be slightly shorter than humans. I'll run some tests with smaller size to see how they look.
yoyo 12. Jul. 2017 um 15:38
Cool, like dwarf it's better but i like your mod it's fun, same if you don't modify their size.
Decomposed  [Autor] 12. Jul. 2017 um 0:09
@yoyo Well, it depends on the size of the statue and in some fantasy stories they appear in human size or even larger. But in general you are right, they are usually shown as small. I could adjust their size a bit in a later update.
yoyo 11. Jul. 2017 um 14:29
Gargoyle is small like a Dwarf... not like a Human... but nice work !
DiViNe NeKO 10. Mai 2017 um 17:48
maybe should not have used word 'Lord', I was just thinking of a normal unit to be recruited not a full skill tree Lord.
Decomposed  [Autor] 10. Mai 2017 um 16:47
@NeKO That's a really interesting idea! I just haven't tried making any Lords yet and looking at other mods it seems a bit hard for me. But I'll definitely give it a try in the near future.
DiViNe NeKO 10. Mai 2017 um 15:05
Maybe you could add new gargoyle unit to mod - Gargoyle Lord ( 1 massive Gargoyle that smashes enemy ranks similar to the Minotaur)
pleeb2 8. Mai 2017 um 22:20
@Decomposed Once we do get that animation, I'm sure someone will mod some awesome Tzaangor units.
The Running Man 8. Mai 2017 um 19:16
Is there a way to make the fimir? that looks odd af
Decomposed  [Autor] 8. Mai 2017 um 14:23
@Neko But in the folklore aren't gargoyles supposed to be kinda smaller in size? At least that's where I based my design. I also wanted to make these a bit different than my WoC Gargoyle.

Though you're right that the Vamps already have fast hitters...
