The reason the scope is soo dirty is because of the reticule, this merely changes that texture.

People were crashing because they had improper settings or configs, or more often than not did not understand that you should not install every mod under the sun or else face game issues.

Oh, i see, The mod won't work with any other mod that changes the scope's reticule.

Not really, nah. Have you tried revalidating game files? This mod does nothing that should cause the game to crash, it only makes the scope texture different (replaces an image with another image).

This mod on the anime poster is mandatory to download? I just do not want these posters, to be honest.

Another thing that can cause this is a faulty cache. Try revalidating game files.
