You are all my favourite people, i am awaiting ES6.

@ AbsurdDive, the invitation is open for someone else to make an updated OpenCities patch that I can host on the nexus mod page. Sorry I'm not going to do it myself as I'm working on other projects. In the mean time, you may be able to use the old patch with an outdated version of OpenCities, I'm not sure.
AbDive 16 Jun, 2022 @ 1:05pm
Were you able to get this mod working alongside with Open Cities?

Or are you planning to pass that torch to another modder

I wanted to use this + OC and just read about the compatibility issue :(
Dex  [author] 28 May, 2022 @ 7:44pm
@ Garm - No
@ AbsurdDive - Good to hear it
@ Budget_Security - Sure just throw me some credit
@ Chomplet King - I respect your opinion but there is a lot more then foliage added.
AbDive 13 Mar, 2022 @ 11:53am
Back with an update:

Installed this mod through Mod Organizer (thanks for the Nexus port).

Load order issue :D

I took a look at OlivierDoorenbos' Concise Guide [www.nexusmods.com] and forgot about that detail lmao

everything's fine now
Garm 12 Mar, 2022 @ 2:21pm
Do i need the stupid Dawnguard and Dragonborn dlc?
AbDive 11 Mar, 2022 @ 8:39pm
I found a small issue with this particular mod.

One of the fire lights on Whiterun's conflicting with a mod and I'm still trying to figure out which one.

Issue: The light source+mesh up the stairs to the left of the drunken huntsman is misplaced, as in the light itself is on the original location while the textured scone (is that how that's called?) is on the new location

Maybe a conflict with SMIM?? I'll come back to this post if I figure it out.

I really like how whiterun looks though, not gonna lie :cozybethesda:
Budget_Security 21 Mar, 2021 @ 2:30am
@Dex, a user on nexus has asked permission to port the mod over to Skyrim on Xbox One. Is this ok?
Chomplet King 7 Jan, 2021 @ 4:33pm
I personally just cant deal with this mod. Ive tried to give it a chance several times but the details just dont sit well with me. Why would a developed, bustling city just have massive trees and bushes just growing wildly inside it, instead of say like a park? The addition of nothing but rampant foliage in many places just makes it feel like the people who built the towns and cities havent finished setting up yet. why not chop it all down at the mill? uuuurgh im sorry, i really REALLY wanna love this mod...
Dex  [author] 27 Aug, 2020 @ 7:46pm
@Budget_Security Thanks for the update. o7
Budget_Security 13 Jul, 2020 @ 2:50pm
I have added the mod to Nexus. Here is a link:

I'm currently writing a modding guide for Special Edition, and will recommend this mod in the guide. I hope to have the guide done (and publish this mod on nexus) before the end of the month.
Dex  [author] 8 Jul, 2020 @ 4:23am
@Budget_Security I made this mod to be shared with others who enjoy ES and enjoy my mods. I give you permission and appreciate you asking send me a link when you have it up id love to see it.
Budget_Security 2 Jul, 2020 @ 7:21am
Dex, would you like me to upload this on your behalf to nexus for Skyrim Special Edition? (giving you full credits obviously). I would like to do this for you if your happy with it.
I have experience with putting mods on nexus:

Dex  [author] 26 May, 2020 @ 2:03am
@ Budget_Security - ill look into it, thanks for comment, can't wait for TES6 ;).
Budget_Security 25 May, 2020 @ 6:06am
Even today this mod is excellent. Its the only one that adds a bit of detail without going overboard like all other city enhancing mods. Minimalism done right.

Dex, please upload this for Skyrim Special Editon on nexusmods.com
I have already ported this for personal use to Special Edition, but there are bound to be others who would also appreciate it if you uploaded it there.
Dex  [author] 18 Jul, 2019 @ 3:36am
@ Boyboy5 - .... that's kind of the point.
@ Coollaireofdanksora - Not a fetish, i simply don't like being handy capped by consoles for a PC release, this mod was tested by over 10 different pc's if you suffer from poor frame rates from this simple mod using already preloaded assets for a game released on 11/11/11..... forget it.
CoolaireOfDankstora 9 May, 2019 @ 8:53pm
I'll never understand the fetish that is adding fooliage and calling it "enhanced". Personally i like having 60fps and smooth gameplay.
boyboy5 3 Jun, 2018 @ 6:42am
Changes are too minimal, barely noticable.
Leihjir 17 May, 2018 @ 6:12am

Chomps123 2 Mar, 2018 @ 9:20pm
@ Dex - absolutely. Just give me a bit to get the game up and running again. I should have it working again this weekend.
Dex  [author] 27 Feb, 2018 @ 4:19am
@ Chomps123 - Sure i am working on a complete mod called "Detailed Unlimited" if you would like to test it?
Tacio47 30 Dec, 2017 @ 8:34am
Very good mod :steamhappy:
Chomps123 16 Nov, 2017 @ 8:28am
I can test for you if you want.
Dex  [author] 16 Nov, 2017 @ 6:30am
@ Chomps123 - I would love too, but Open Cities is compatable with DLC's i don't own so i can't test it with them.
Chomps123 2 Nov, 2017 @ 9:12pm
have you made this mod compatable with open cities yet? Just wondering. If you haven't yet it's no big deal. I'm very, very patient.
Inthezone 17 Jun, 2017 @ 1:59am
Is this compatible with Breezehome FullyUpgradable, because I saw a tree which could be occupying the garden..
Dex  [author] 19 May, 2017 @ 6:33am
@ Piji - Yes sir.
@ Super Kitten Tea Party - Thank you. makes it worth while
@ Yeazzal - Your still my fav.
Yeazzal 14 May, 2017 @ 1:55pm
to quote the Gameshow host on the game Total Carnage "I love it!"
Super Kitten 7 Apr, 2017 @ 2:33pm
This mod is awesome. Whiterun is the biggest change and it's beautiful now. I love it!
Shrayzer 25 Mar, 2017 @ 11:31am
is the chest on the skyforge part of it?
Dex  [author] 26 Feb, 2017 @ 3:06am
@ - MaWo79 Yea i look into it :)
@ - MLGeesus Load it up and have a look pal its free.
KneeKo 21 Feb, 2017 @ 7:52am
a lot of youtubers who play skyrim have this mod and it works fine for them i've never seen them stop and look at a bugged tree or bush it might be your pc
RatDick 2 Feb, 2017 @ 10:06am
so you just added trees...?
Elvanos 31 Jan, 2017 @ 12:30pm
So which cities does this mod actually cover?
reduct (girl) 24 Dec, 2016 @ 4:34pm
There might be a bug that makes a certain type of bush look blue and blocky. It's all over the game so idk if its because of this but the placements are the same. To be honest I don't know how to post a screenshot sorry.
Pherim 7 Nov, 2016 @ 3:15am
Small addition to my previous comment: This mod causes gaps around the Jorrvaskr (Companions headquarters) in Whiterun because it moves the ground mesh that surrounds it.
MaWo79 31 Oct, 2016 @ 2:24am
Hey Dex, can you please realease your Detailed Cities and Outskirts modifications for Skyrim Special Edition? They are great! I don't have many modifications isntalled but these improvements are essential for me and I refuse to set a foot into Skyrim SE without them.
Saith 28 Oct, 2016 @ 10:09am
hey ^^ nice mod! i love it! but do you plan to port it to skyrim special edition?
Pherim 22 Jul, 2016 @ 7:02am
Great mod that doesn't overload cities as much as many other mods that add objects and manages to stay true to the original mood (at least in whiterun, have not seen much else but in the screenshots it looks like this is true for other cities as well). It needs cleaning with TESVEdit, though.

@ Hallowench - Thanks that was the point.
@ AbblesAJ - Slightly
@ The Gator Good - The mod is ment to be light and not impact proformance.
@ Destero - Tesvedit was not a thing when i started this mod five hours after launch of the workshop but i will look into it.
@ sonicjb08 - No idea.
@ iamthespectacularspiderman15 - No idea.
@ Destero - I'll look into it :).
@ zero.point - <3
@ PapiwA - Pretty sure.
@ dragonrdr135 - Sweet
Hallowench 10 Apr, 2016 @ 9:59am
Finally, a city enhancement mod that doesn't crash my game! Looks nice and doesn't add too much.
LadyAJ 1 Apr, 2016 @ 10:20am
Does this affect the riverwood area at all?
Polar the Bear 30 Mar, 2016 @ 7:10am
Im new to modding in general but would this be a better one than say Whiterun enhanced and all those? Like less strain on a PC? I get 25 wiht the pro cities and town mods and have been looking at this for a while
Destero 28 Mar, 2016 @ 3:25am
First things first:

I like your fps-lightweight mod and appreciate the changes you did in the game! Looks realy good and doesn 't does too much, eather to become lightweight and to fit into the game properly! Thus, i gave it a thumb up!

Nevertheless, i found some dirtyedits in the esp, by checking it with tesvedit!

Please keep track of these issues, because it can cause CTDs. there are 118 "identical to master records" and 7 "deleted records" which can be removed with tesvedit.

Keep the good work up!

Cheers ;)
Sirius 31 Jan, 2016 @ 10:31am
does this effect "true skyrim"
littlekrogan 24 Jan, 2016 @ 7:42pm
Would riverwood and small villages benefit from this mod as well?
Destero 7 Jan, 2016 @ 3:29am
Hey, found many "diry-edits" with tesVedit!
Please check.

If you don 't know how, just ask!

Cheers
