I recently encountered an issue with this and another map where only enemy vehicles are spawned and maybe an outpost AI.

FIrst off I love all of your Dynamic Recon Ops Missions and locations. But one thing is happening and I don't know what it means, so maybe you could help. When I die and attempt to reload a save it says that because of missing addon content "a3_vegetation" something something I can't reload the save. This means I have to completely exit the mission and relaunch it. I love these and want them to be playable for me.

104th_IronMike - Yeah, I disabled team switching recently because I was getting reports that it broke, well, basically everything haha. If you have issues with the AI I've introduced a more robust reset function you can find on the map screen which should take care of any stuck AI.

Fiesel-Wiesel - Thanks for letting me know, I've made a note to look into that - I know that the most recent Arma patch caused even the base artillery supports to only fire one round regardless of how many were requested so perhaps it's related to that. You should get the plain PBOs when subscribing to workshop missions but they're a bit hidden - I can't remember which folder they go to off the top of my head but I'm sure you can find that info.

104th_Ironmike and me having the same issues like "The Aviator" ... arty support isn't really working.
We use mainly RHS and Tryk for our VA outfitting and RHS and Project-OPFOR Units for the enemys.
Our own faction is always plain BIS Nato.

And BTW .... AWESOME Missis!


Ps.: I really have a lot problems to get the pbo's of your missis for our server ... its just crap how BIS and Steam handle that shit, if you sign addons via wokrshop.
Is there ANY chane to get the plain pbo's from you ... armaholic or a webspace?

hey buddy, it seems all AI units are back to not playable again. probably one of the last updates? could you make them playable again? It's just so annyoing if a unit gets stuck in a house or so, when playable you can easily fix that lol thanks again!

The Aviator - Are you having the problem with CUP supports? There are issues with them beyond my control at the moment - it's something that the CUP team would need to address.

Hello, artillery doesn't seem to work properly (or I'm doing something wrong), HQ says rounds are complete but there's no splash, I tried it many times in vain.

btw, may I suggest you stay with dynamic. yours are the best so far, imo, and having one of your missions is like having a thousand and more. that is something so good and unique, whatever scenarios you come up with, if you can keep the D, they will always be on top. cheers again, mate!

I think in the meantime it would be fairly easy to tweak the DRO to a nice sniper ops. would love it already like that. but if you go for something even more sophisticated, hurra for us! something realistic would be nice, in terms of stalking, stealth, avoiding patrols and one shot one kill, the rest could be just like in DRO. and with short, medium or long AO you define how much of that stalking you want. it could of course include intel gathering and observation, finding the target, finding a good sniping spot and extracting unseen. being seen should be unforgiving imo, some good sniping missions even fail if you get detected, I think there is a script. although that could be random, as sometimes hauling for your ass is nice too. loads of ideas, I hope I am not too blunt. in any case, many props for your work!

104th_IronMike - Thanks! Yeah, I could consider tweaking the numbers there - those observe tasks can be connected to follow on objectives, but I don't want to make that the case every time so that there's some uncertainty for the player when they go into the mission.
The sniper missions sound like a good idea too! I have a bunch of projects planned for the future, some of which are similar to that - more focused missions where I can work in a lot more detail. As DRO has taken me from having very little Arma scripting knowledge to a point where I'm pretty comfortable with it hopefully whatever comes next will take a lot less time to come to fruition.

very awesome and very helpful your missions. only comment I would have. the objective observer appears a lot. which I find quite cool, but often it is done alreadz just by zooming in the direction, even behind hills sometimes, depending on map. it would be great if these could be connected somehow to a follow up mission. like, ah, there he is, kill him. and then humbly, you think you could create something similar as sniper ops. patrols are randome a version with only hvt and the zones maybe a bit longer than wide (and altered in short, medium, long), where you have to crawel through terrain to avoid patrols, figure out a vantage point. etc. I think that would work awesome, maybe even in combination with ace. I bet you sniper fans will thank you eternally, at least I will! thank you!
