oh nice! i think its simply because those files haven't been changed in a long time.
Razzberi 29 May, 2021 @ 7:58am
oh yeah i forgot, it totally does still work for vanilla.
i am baffled that so many mods still work.
RogueRaiden  [author] 26 May, 2021 @ 2:33pm
@PartyPenguin78
Probably not, and probably not compatible with Frackin
Razzberi 26 May, 2021 @ 1:24pm
does it still work?
hold on I'll go test it out

@Seraphicat
No idea, it might be. Haven't played around with Starbound in quite some time.
Seraphicat 17 Aug, 2018 @ 7:59pm
Is this compatible with 1.3?
ScarabParamit 8 Mar, 2018 @ 10:31pm
Sorry, somehow i missed this "at the time" part.
Regards.

@ScarabParamit
Like i said, at the time i made this mod. I made it over a year and a half ago. I havent touched any of this since then. If FU says not to use it, then dont use it.
ScarabParamit 8 Mar, 2018 @ 3:45am
You sure? In FU Info section it states to avoid mods like "Ores for Asteroids"...
RogueRaiden  [author] 8 Mar, 2018 @ 3:44am
@ScarabParamit
At the time of making the mod, FU didnt touch the Asteroids file.
ScarabParamit 8 Mar, 2018 @ 3:31am
FU Info panel says such mods not to be compatible.

RogueRaiden  [author] 27 Jul, 2017 @ 6:01pm
it was when i made it, as it says in the discription, but i dont know about now. if Frackin' Universe doesnt alter asteroids, then yes.
Cyber 27 Jul, 2017 @ 2:33pm
Is this compatible with Frackin' Universe?
SGHarlekin 19 Apr, 2017 @ 3:22am
quick review. went to random unvisited asteroid field. found tungsten worth of 1 bar. found copper worth of 178 bars. found silver worth of 369 bars. i can see the reduction.
Vengla 21 Oct, 2016 @ 12:34pm
Does anyone else stand on an invisible platform when they beam down to the asteroid? or is it just me?
Astrolabe 3 Oct, 2016 @ 2:00pm
I need durastell...
DURASTELL...
DURASTELL!!!!
devilmaycrunk 25 Sep, 2016 @ 6:45pm
add violium, aegisalt, solarium, and ferozium pls

just use spawn chances to make it balanced
Psydan 26 Aug, 2016 @ 11:09am
Oh nvm. This mod adds iron. I'll use this instead.
RogueRaiden  [author] 26 Aug, 2016 @ 11:09am
No, as this does the same thing but with more ores
Psydan 26 Aug, 2016 @ 10:37am
Is this compatible with Iron Asteroids?
RogueRaiden  [author] 24 Aug, 2016 @ 1:14am
@Geoffrey Took me a bit before i did it, but here is a mod that removes the creature spawns from space! :D EZs No Creatures In Space
RogueRaiden  [author] 21 Aug, 2016 @ 9:42pm
oh yeah, i know full well that you need to fine a new planet. i went to a new system at least a screen out with every test, to get a fresh new planet. nothing seemed to change for some reason. unless i just had the wrong file. but planet asteroids didnt have hardly anything at all by default
Star-X 21 Aug, 2016 @ 9:26pm
Dumb question: did you try it on a planet that wasn't generated prior to installing this mod? Cause I'm pretty sure it'd only work on fresh planets if at all.
RogueRaiden  [author] 21 Aug, 2016 @ 9:10pm
@Star-X Doesn't seem like this mod touches the planet's asteroid fields. i tried to increase the ore there, but my file edits didnt seem to work
RogueRaiden  [author] 21 Aug, 2016 @ 6:03pm
@Star-X Already have that mod installed, so that'll make it easy lol
Star-X 21 Aug, 2016 @ 5:09pm
Easy way to test it with minimal admin commands is installing the Explorer Pod mod. Those suckers can fly all the way to the top of the map no problem Hell, I may give it a shot just to confirm if it works or not.
RogueRaiden  [author] 21 Aug, 2016 @ 2:36pm
@Star-X you know, i actually haven't been to the top of a planet to see those asteroids. I changed the ore gen for the 'asteroid' ore gen flag or whatever you call it. If the planet asteroids call on that flag, then they'll spawn with the ores.
Star-X 21 Aug, 2016 @ 12:22pm
Does this include both asteroid-field-type planets AND the asteroid biome at the top of most planets? Cause it'd be nice to have an alternate source of iron and tungsten placed above even high-tier planets.
RogueRaiden  [author] 20 Aug, 2016 @ 8:39am
@✦ Officer Hot-Pants ✦ haha yeah, I've been searching for iron for a while and not getting enough of it. Figured if i can get vast amounts of gold of a space rock, why not iron?
RogueRaiden  [author] 20 Aug, 2016 @ 8:31am
@Geoffrey i should be able to, but i won't be able to do anything until Sunday night unfortunately.
@vinchenzojackal&shoon during my testing, titanium and tungsten were very rare, only found a small pocket of each while finding vast amounts of the iron, copper, gold and silver. Plus my original idea wasn't for realism, more of something that flowed with how the game plays. But i was thinking that any higher grades of ore wouldn't fit right on asteroids, like you said. Might add diamonds to the spawn.
💖 Officer Hotpants 💖 20 Aug, 2016 @ 8:31am
I'd really love to know who told them that asteroids are DEVOID of iron. The only way they could be further off the mark is if they gave them all Earth-like atmosphere, gravity and standing water.
VinchenzoTheJackal & Shoon 20 Aug, 2016 @ 6:28am
This is a mod I've been waiting for for a long time. Never made much sense not to find Iron. Never made much sense not to find low level alloys as well. Platinum is the only naturally occuring alloy metal InRealLife, and it tends to be found deep internally in planets in the Mantle, as well as found in Asteroids, Comets, and Meteors. Mind you, we have Tungsten in this game instead... so having Tungsten in them is a good idea. Not sure about this Titanium being added, but am okay with it even if IRL Titanium has never been found in nature. If anything, Titanium is the highest grade ore that should be allowed in the Asteroid Fields. Mind you, IRL it would be possible to find Diamonds as well... but no Coal.
Hemza 20 Aug, 2016 @ 12:56am
Can you make a mod that removes creatures from space?
