TO REMOVE RAINWATER:
(IF you know how to unpack / pack game or mod assets)

in the game's packed.pak
file /projectiles/weather/water/water.projectile
under actionOnReap on line 13
change the Quantity value to 0.0

then repack the file.

(you probably COULD remove the water's actionOnReap as well the same way this mod does. but I am not certain so this method feels safer (changing a quantity to zero is safer than removing a line of code))

In the villages the sandstorms create blocks and if you remove them the guards come take over you because you are stealing lmao.
Nachi 7 Aug, 2021 @ 10:07pm
Doesn't work for me
Tidgem 6 Feb, 2021 @ 3:25am
Any chance for a Money Mod/Planet patch? The treasure is super annoying!
Daruud 2 Jul, 2020 @ 4:07am
Im looking for a mod that enhances block creation and is more severe. Anyone seen?
KiroTheImmortal 6 Apr, 2020 @ 2:53pm
Can i find this and it removes the rain effects too? That eats alot of my fps and isnt relay important imo
Vulture 15 Aug, 2019 @ 9:44am
Works with FU still.
Colt 6 May, 2019 @ 12:15pm
Is this compatible with the latest version, FU, and the no weather block damage mod?
777carelessguy 10 Apr, 2019 @ 4:44pm
Yay I don't have to clean up sand every 20 minutes on my Novakid settlement! Wait, this works for existing planets right?
Jokiu 8 Mar, 2019 @ 3:28pm
Too bad it doesn't remove the extra water during the rain storms...
Papi the harpy 28 Feb, 2019 @ 5:26pm
does it work on dark planets?
DJ Tiny Penis 18 Feb, 2019 @ 1:18pm
Either this mod doesn't work, or it doesn't work with Diverse Weather.
Naii Starwing 9 Sep, 2018 @ 3:00am
Is this compatible with a mod that makes weather not cause block damage? I wanted to make a moon base, but not if Space John Madden is constantly throwing footballs at my build.
Grey Dawn 17 Jul, 2018 @ 9:31am
does anyone know what versions this works for?
fella_air 9 Oct, 2017 @ 7:49am
You are my new hero. Have some penguins: :SBpenguin::SBpenguin::SBpenguin::SBpenguin::SBpenguin:

A mod like this seems rather hard as people will want all sorts of different variations. For example, I'm fine with the water from heavy rain, and very very very much enjoy the light coating of snow and ash where appropriate.

I only want the silt from sandstorms removed as I'm building in a reed minibiome on a desert planet and the silt will ruin the ponds of healing water.
dogsoda 18 Jul, 2017 @ 4:34pm
**BLESS YOU FOR MAKING THIS MOD**
Cirdain 9 Jul, 2017 @ 5:17pm
Seems to work for me for snow.
Ickura 1 Jul, 2017 @ 12:46pm
Please make this stop heavy rain from flooding my home!
Naro Cal 25 Jun, 2017 @ 6:43pm
this is a mod that should be supported because GOD DAMN THIS HELPS WITH THE MESSES THOSE FREAKIN SANDSTORMS MAKE
damocleas 20 Jun, 2017 @ 3:39pm
Hoping you update it soon, I live on a planet that rains all the time and there isn't a backround in certain spots and the house floods, a drain would look too out of place to put but I have to have it there temporarily until this is fixed, thanks!
fruzstrated  [author] 14 Jun, 2017 @ 7:02pm
@Vbgvbg113
Not sure when I'll get around to it, but I'll try to get it fixed.
Thanks for letting me know.
Vbgvbg113 14 Jun, 2017 @ 6:56am
its not compatible with starbound anymore... DAMN YOU UPDATE 1.3!!! ITS GOOD, BUT SO BAD!
Redrar 2 Jun, 2017 @ 1:56pm
THANK YOU!
TheDarkJediKnight 27 May, 2017 @ 2:13pm
vvv

So far it seems to work for F.U.
Null_Error 19 May, 2017 @ 5:37pm
If you could make an additional mod to remove water generation from heavy rain, as several people have requested, that would be much appreciated.
fruzstrated  [author] 13 May, 2017 @ 11:04am
@3N717Y
Sorry, I don't know I don't use it.
Dalton 13 May, 2017 @ 10:58am
is this compatable with frackin universe?
VinchenzoTheJackal & Shoon 8 May, 2017 @ 6:12pm
Using this mod is still risky cause I need to collect Ash, Silt, and Snow, but I still have it rated up and favorited. It's a great mod without a doubt.
TheDarkJediKnight 24 Apr, 2017 @ 10:22pm
At first I found the pileup amusing, though now it's aggrovating. Clearing out the buildup and pissing off villagers for breaking their stuff by mistake has got me at wits-end with my favorite one already.

So this mod will help prevent that.
Ancient Ways 21 Apr, 2017 @ 7:53pm
Heavy rain should not be a problem if you know what you're doing. It's easily countered with things like drains. Don't even need to get to durasteel tier to get drains, either. Can find them in Apex towns and maybe a few other places I'm not remembering.
0_o 9 Apr, 2017 @ 12:18am
Can you make this mod stop the effects of heavy rain? It's even more annoying than blocks forming
A Vietnamese man 24 Jan, 2017 @ 1:04pm
i have been looking so long for something like this! thank you!
Dragon 9 Dec, 2016 @ 10:17am
can you do the same but with rain and fire storms? the avians keep killing me because of the rain destroying torches and the fir storms destroying their ship. ITS THE STARBOUND GODS DOING IT NOT ME!
KuroHakku 5 Nov, 2016 @ 2:37am
thanks my sand biome base keeps getting flooded whith out this mod!!!!!!!
Ickura 4 Nov, 2016 @ 8:21pm
Every lag removers help :)
UltraEmailMan 20 Oct, 2016 @ 8:08am
Thank you so much, my villa will now be sand free! My fluffalos thank you, sir!
xantex18 18 Sep, 2016 @ 7:57am
yep.... my colony wil now be ash free thx dude :Alberts:
Star Berry 16 Sep, 2016 @ 4:54pm
I know there's drains! But the drains look out of place with some themes, and what about those of us who can't build drains yet?
Star Berry 16 Sep, 2016 @ 4:52pm
Say, can you make it so that Rain doesn't flood your house?
fruzstrated  [author] 16 Sep, 2016 @ 9:47am
@GoldenstarArtist
Sure, you can use it on your servers or put it in a collection.
Jenpai 15 Sep, 2016 @ 10:13pm
I noticed there are no permissions on this mod... Are people allowed to use this mod in their packs and Severs?
Arbids 9 Sep, 2016 @ 5:12pm
Definitely needed this, got this to stop the snow snowing on blocks in places I didn't want it to. Good job.
VinchenzoTheJackal & Shoon 9 Sep, 2016 @ 11:00am
Discovered in vanilla multiple recipes exist that require Silt and Ash and Snow to make blocks, and items. I don't tend to find enough of these things unless I go to tons of planets. I don't want to clear 10 planets for snow, 10 planets for silt, and 10 planets for ash, just to make enough blocks for one entire planets city. Is it possible to just decrease the amount of blocks created since the blocks tend to all be useful...
Cephalon Sithalo 28 Aug, 2016 @ 10:13am
@Harmonic Revelations "according to an older post by the author

"Nope, rain is easy to combat with drains so I left it alone.""
Colt 26 Aug, 2016 @ 7:52pm
It doesn't remove the fact rain creates water pools, does it?
fruzstrated  [author] 18 Aug, 2016 @ 1:37pm
@vinchenzojackal&shoon
I don't know if the weather changes will work if the host dosen't have the mod. But...

Recipies are client side, yours can be different from the host.
This means my snowball recipe change will work even if they don't have it.
VinchenzoTheJackal & Shoon 18 Aug, 2016 @ 9:27am
This sounds really nice, but I'd like for the vanilla recipe for snowballs to exist alongside the new recipe... that way if I go into multiplayer I won't miss the new recipe AND have lost the original! Plus, some of the blocks created are used in crafting, I'd rather useless blocks be the only ones not being created.
Cephalon Sithalo 15 Aug, 2016 @ 3:53pm
@Brickler123 there is already a mod that prevents fire and meteors from destroying blocks.

the author of this mod pointed out that there is a mod that turns off weather damage already

"This one effects fire and meteors.
http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=735010240"

so i suppose they dont plan on making that apart of the mod, hope that helps :D
Zany Zoe 15 Aug, 2016 @ 1:43pm
An addition to make meteors on moons non-explosive (Destroying blocks) would be a great, trying to build a moon base but I don't want to have to put the ugly brain blocks on top of it.
