Could you please add an option for text size, I have to squint everytime I want to read what an NPC is saying.

Thank you, the default boxes are hard to read with my dyslexia. The new boxes are so much easier to read :)

For other people looking for basic UI tweaks that don't alter the core game that much, I've collected it in User Interface Basic Tweaks collection. This mod is included. Thanks for the mod!

As of 1.1 update today, this is the only mod out of my 60 or so that would crash on character select. Just figured I'd let you know so you can see what is going on. Good Luck. :3

@Alpha I just uploaded a version to the Starbound forum, linked at the bottom of the description. Sorry for the delay. I only upload to the Starbound community on request, because it's frankly less powerful than Steam Workshop, and it makes modders jump through a lot of extra hoops to get their mods up. http://community.playstarbound.com/resources/enhanced-chat-readability.4123/

Yeah, I was trying to fix the extra vertical padding, which only ever applies to the bottom of the bubble, and which gets gradually swallowed up (from both top and bottom) as the bubble gets taller. Unfortunately, I discovered the broken behavior is hardcoded, and there is no way to fix it in a mod.
