The description how to get this skin to be displayed in the game is a bit confusing. No matter if you subscribe through the workshop or if you directly download the skin, you need to copy the .upk file into

..\Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Published\BrewedPC\Packages\Weapons\Remington_1858

You might need to create all the folders if they don't exist yet.

After a recent update of Killing Floor 2, the instructions no longer work. I've even tried replacing the actual game files. That doesn't work either. Any ideas?

@Cody38: Yes, as of now, ONLY the texture files (aka _TEX.upk) are allowed to be edited.
There was at one point where models were allowed to be changed but only because the _Mat.upk files were allowed to be edited and can be scripted to read a completely different model.
TW has patched this since, so NO, we cant use model mods as of now. Just textures.

I have a question with skinning, is it only texture editing or could you change the model? For instance, making the M14 EBR into a Vietnam war style M14 with full wood stock?

Pushed out update, not manditory as its a client-side reskin thou. So you are free to willingly update or not!

It seems i missed a part of the texture where i forgot to un-erase a area.
Because of this, i will push out a updated version soon(TM).

Please watch this page as i get this newer version released along with another new skin for the M14.
