Hello. Your weapons are simply "fantastic", congratulations to the work done so far and I hope - hopefully and hopefully - that your mod can be used in conjunction with the new "War of the Chosen" expansion and if that is not possible .. That you update the mod making this possible, because even though I am anxiously awaiting the new expansion ... it will be difficult to play without your weapons after we have become accustomed to them. Congratulations and very ("very") thank you!

It would be possible for you to gather all the weapons in one file ("Sawed-off Shotgun - Standalone, Combat Shotgun - Standalone, Salvaged Cannon - Standalone, Multipurpose Combat Rifles - Standalone, Carbines - Standalone, Magnetic Carbines - Dependent"). Make it easier to use these weapons? Thank you!

Most Standalone weapon mods will successfully integrate into LW2, however, this one doesnt, which is kinda sad cuz these look cool. would love to see LW 2 integration if possible...

@Matt: If you're okay with using XSkin system, you can get all of Spart's bashed guns to show up in LW2, although you'll only be able to apply them on the 3 vanilla weapon tiers, not the lasers and coil guns.

Are there any plans to update this one to work with long war 2? Or, alternatively, would anyone know how to edit the .ini files to replace the stock mag/plasma weapons in the game with these? Thanks!

I'm having the same problem as your main Kitbashes and Carbines mod. None of my .ini edits to the weapon stats are sticking and I can't think of or see any conflicts or other mods that would change their stats somehow.

If I want to enabled magnetic version of the Assault Carbine, beside add the same line in the .ini, do I have to do anything else?

Both mod's .ini files are independent of the other. If you want to do something to Mag Carbines you'll have to edit the .ini included with that. If you want to do something with standard Carbines you'll have to edit the .ini that comes with that.

So if I want to use this mod with "Carbines" mod, do I customise the weapon characteristics in this mod's .ini file or "Carbines" mod .ini? Both mods have smiliar configuration values in their .ini so I am confused as to where I should configure. Thanks.

If you're not looking into making the plasma tier carbine models anytime soon, how about a simple one for now that uses these models for plasma tier? I'd like to see that, and I'm certain a lot of other people may enjoy it, too.

Right now, I'm not working on any mods. Maybe later when I'm more inspired I might make some models for the plasma tier but not at the moment.

I was working on integrating the LW Laser tier (not models but tier 2.5 weapons) but I couldn't get it to work properly. Trying to do that for all of my mods and constantly failing kinda drove me a little off the edge for a while so I gave up on it. I might come back and try it again but I doubt I will. What I might get around to doing is making it so that these weapons are a 'true' skin for the xskin mod which I think might let me get around all the craziness.

Reinstalled the mod, tried updating, etc etc - doesn't show up on the tier 2 list to purchase as mag weapons.

Dunno about xskin incompatibility but the other issue's been fixed. You may need to resubscribe (seems that updates don't seem to be happening automatically anymore).

I'm having the same problem the weapons don't show up. After gauss weapons research other guns do show up T2 auto shotgun, I don't recall it working like that before though. And none of them seem to work with xskin anymore.

No, the bug was in regards to it requiring cannons instead of shotguns. Looks like something else I have to take care of.

Tried that now, didn't work. Looking at the schematics class, the problem appears to be that the schematics require gauss weapons/heavy plasma, instead of the preceding rifle techs, as opposed to other shotguns. Sure enough, researching gauss weapons made it show up. Was that the same issue you fixed?

Yeah but the assault rifle is pretty distinct and it's not like there's a good place where I could cut it up. I just don't see it happening with the assets on hand, at least not at the moment.

Thanks again for the generous offer of help, but a word of warning, I tend to operate at my own pace and my attention can shift very wildly, very suddenly. I might not be working on this stuff tomorrow.

I've got a few other things in mind, but it involves some fairly extensive retexturing and I'm trying to dig up my old copy of Photoshop. I'm no expert texturer, but I'd like to actually help out and not just bark demands all day.

The reason I'm asking about the mesh edits is because if you've seen the magazine well on an M82, it's huge.

I've got a few ideas if you'd like to use them:

The assault rifle body may actually fit the M82-style rifle better than the sniper rifle body - the AR looks much bulkier.

The sniper rifle stock might fit better, and that's even if it's not retextured to resemble the AR more. The other option is to do what this mod did and use a shotgun stock:

Barrel would be fairly simple - replace the normal one with the sniper rifle one.

The scope is where I'm a little stumped. The only place where you could find a modern-day sniper scope and not those teeny things on the stock rifles is the EU T1 weapon. Might have to go with the marksman rifle scope for this one.

I'm not sure if I'd be enlargen the magazine well by itself. It's connected to the rest of the weapon and I'd have to find some way to fill the blanks or just increase the dimensions for the whole thing which might look weird.

But resizing in general (width, length, depth) is possible but I don't like to do it too for the afomentioned reason as well as to keep from stretching textures too much.

That Barrett style rifle you mentioned.. I was actually having fairly similar thoughts but was wondering about the parts itself.

I gotta ask - are you capable of stretching out the weapon mesh itself (eg. making the magazine well much larger)?

Hi there, i have bougth the vanilla T2 shotgun, but your T2 counterpart don't apear for buying like when i bought the T2 vanilla rifle. Is this a bug or you need something more. Thanks for your mods by the way.

Was considering doing a Barrett style rifle but I haven't figued out what I could mix to make that happen. Might still happen but at the moment it's unlikely.

I see, another quick question then. Any plans on making a Sniper style weapon in this style?? By Sniper style I mean long barreled, scope capable, and looks like it could shoot through a tank.....

No plans yet, mainly because I dunno how I would make them look. So a tentative maybe.

Do you mean regular as in, a carbine from the original Carbine mod or a T1 carbine from this mod?

If it's the former I'd suggest you take a look at the Sidegrade mod or consider using XSkin. If it's the latter thats a bug and I'll take a look at it.

Hey Spart! I love the mod, very good job on it! Though I was wondering if there was any way to make regular carbine upgrades carry over to the magnetic ones?

For example, I have T1 set to be a regular carbine, and T2 and up to be magnetic - though if I put a scope on the T1 carbine and then upgrade, no T2 guns have the scope. I still just have a T1 carbine with its scope.
