Heres what I can do: I think....

Possibly:

Change color of variant '+' sign, or add a black edge around it so its more visible.
Add helmet overlay, for realisim.
Change color of progress bars like that example mod

Maybe:
Change girder icons so they are inverted (unless thats default)
Change a few other things such as medbay overlay like I did before.

it will all depend on what is moddable and whether I can figure out keens color system, it uses XYZ and W for RGB, and Idk what W is. if someone can find me a color converter or a guide or something for their color system, I can further make progress. I cant get any of my textures to load using the sbc thing.

This is a must have UI mod, so please, update this to the new GUI system, which is now officially moddable through the workshop.

Devs are confirming they are working on a new hud that will increase your immersion in the game, so this mod will most likely not be updated, or, if I get off my lazy ♥♥♥, I can see if I can fiddle with the new hud in the future.

no Sentinel you do not, you download the mod from one of the links. then extract the file into your space engineers GUI folder AND into the textures folder.

You could make the Grid selection opaque in the terminal screen (you know, when you want to select a ship to remote control).

I hope parts of it does, but some other parts of my mod dont belong in the game itself. the color coding, maybe. the colored tool icons, maybe, especialy the hand icon.... but stuff like the crosshair editing and horrizon bar prob not.

Wow, it's been awhile sense i looked at this mod but it has come far from what it was back then. I hope the devs make this a stock game layout for color and texture.

The latest Stable 1.153 update brought all the Dev stuff over and broke Player2K's first shader mods. Looks like the latest one works still but makes windows not-even-there transparent from both sides still. if your still going to add it just a heads up

Nice hotfix, I wasnt too bothered by the offset altitude pipper tho. If youre still going to add dudes' shaders, the two versions either make windows completley unaffected by starlight or completley invisible from both viewing sides 1. the EnvAmbient.h which works perfectly but windows always seem to be the exact same brightness unless in direct starlight, a little immersion breaking and weird.
The other version, 2. is billboard.hisl and light_dir.hlsl and they make the windows completley invisible except the window frame. like not even there invisible! also weird. tested both prefer the first one. i dunno if you messed with them any but both have major effects on window glass i have no problems with these tradeoffs except version 2. helping someone on a ship of theirs and i messed up all the windows. whoops

is the fonts files locations, you can open then up in gimp or "Paint.net" and experiment with it yourself. sorry, but thats about all I can do atm.

Currently there is no way to make the Hud fonts smaller, unless you wanted to mess with the games font.dds entirely, and make everything smaller.

2 reasons.
1) it makes it easier to see what has changed.
2) Proactivity in case we ever get the chance to do higher-than-world level mods.

Most files have been weeded out, theres just the files for the GUI folder, which is a bit of a pain to sort out. I will look into it though, since its been commonly asked for. Not relly sure why people want a smaller file size since its a client side mod, and its only 49.8mb

Not sure if keens porting the stable to dev branch on the 18th, 11th, or even later then that.
