valden and the other imperial are not wich is kinda bad i like the unit as a whole but making them an agent would be beter

There are some issues creating custom portholes, so it might just be a random glitch.

ok thanks I try with vmp_krell_0 and vmp_krell_campagne_0 to see if it start working,
but I actually now have the same problem with all tabletop lord, all the card and porthold are generic, is wierd maybe I have a corrupted file somewhere and have to check it and verify the integrity cache

vmp_krell_0 - The campaign unit.
vmp_krell - The unit for Krell during a battle.
vmp_krell_campagne_0 - The agent for krell on the campaign map. Kinda weird and hard to explain the difference.

I have not been modding in a little bit, so I couldn't tell you for sure where the porthole picture is. If you do fix it, you can upload it to the workshop, I don't mind at all.

I did tweak a bit your mod so now I have it available for the von carstein but I still cannot figure out how to add the proper porthole for it. I added an xml converted to a bin with the details for krell and the .png I made into porthole directory.
I am not sure if I have to write the bin folder as portrait_settings__por03.bin or instead of pro03.bin I put the placeholder krell4concarstein.bin as i did save the mode as the later.

but anyways both don't work so I am stuck here Is a bit annoying but not breaking. also I am not sure If I have to use ..vmp_krell_0 or ..vmp_krell or ..vmp_krell_campagne_0.

Anyway I hope you can help me with that,

I made this tweak for myself, If you allow me and people want to do a von carstein campagne with the 5 leaders and have krell as Champion I could add it to the workshop.

But first I need to find a way for this porthole.

Maybe you could either just do that, with a limited legendary hero way, or you could make a lord mod that adds in some of the various named characters, like Kragg the Grim for the Dwarves and so on.

At least if you give them traights and something to make them really stand out, then I guess it wouldn't matter too much.

It's only possible to introduce types of heroes with randomly generated names, unless you use the button method I currently do. Modding is very limited in this game. So if I made the hero types, then they would just show up but would have random names.

Well, if people can make new types of lords, then they can make new legendary heroes.

I mean think about it. You could make some of the named heroes based on a type of existing heroes, if you want to go the easiest route. Just call Gotrek a Thane but have him be different.

Because the only way to spawn them is using the button on the UI. All of the other factions with heroes use that button.

How exactly do they break the campaign?

I would think making such characters as Gotrek and Valten would be pretty simple. Making a Thane and or Warrior Priest that have a different model and maybe giving them a couple of special skills that help them be awesome.

Doesn't sound too game breaking to me.

The closest you can get to real heroes are Krell and Vardek in the campaign, as it's impossible to add the others as heroes without breaking campaign features.

You should work on making the legendary heroes for either player only and or make each hero an actual heroes instead of just a regular 1 man elite unit.

Sorry, it seems that i raised false alarm. Earlier today i got notification that TWW is being updated and after that, when i tried to load saved campaign with your mod activated, the game crashed on me. The problem persisted through several hours, but now everything is back to normal. And you're right - judging from latest patch notes, there weren't any update today. I don't understand any of it, as i got clear message in the library, claiming that the game is being patched. Apparently the issue was steam related. Again - my apologies for misleading post and congratulations for creating a great mod.

Well that's the thing, it shouldn't have effected the auto saved game. I've seen unit mods that you can turn off and it doesn't crash anything.

You see, I tried this mod on turn 2, and it shouldn't have effected my game unless I saved it on turn 3. I've seen that kind of thing with other unit mods.

AI could have summoned them. Don't remove and add mods mid-game, beginners mistake. Also, never claimed its save-game compatible.

Krell and Vardek are the only ones where it is possible to make them true campaign map heroes. This mod will not be updated anymore, working on projects for the second game.

Yes, it works with the LL mods you mentioned.

Dude, you really need to fix this mod. I checked it out on a saved game and now I can't load up that game, even though I'm pretty sure none of the heroes were even summoned.

And are these guys actual heroes or just powerful units?

And can this mod be worked in with Legendary Lord mods, like ones that give all the LLs to another playable factions of that race? Like from the Greenskins to Bloody Handz?

Custom skill tree's I would do, but because warhammer 2 is releasing soon, im not going to have anymore updates out for these until I add them to the combined map in warhammer 2. For a while I will be working on only warhammer 2 mods.

I won't add the summonable heroes, but I'll add the recruitable ones. It really bothers me when a unit mod only adds to the main factions, so I'll work on it for next update.

Nevermind, just figured out it only works when you pick Archaon as the starting Lord. maybe add that to the description
