Yeah the Lombards weren't from the Black Sea. That's the Goths you're thinking of. The Lombard's original homeland before they migrated to Italy would have been in modern Germany/Poland.

Aids. how were the Lombards "brutes from the Black Sea?" just a few minutes of research tells me the Lombards were Germanic people in northern Italy. Prone to coups, but none explicitly barbaric using skull cups. On what list were they Roman mercenaries? Civ has a long history of picking famous leaders that weren't the most impactful or the best representative of their culture or country.

the lombards where from the black sea they killed their enemies and drank from their skulls they where hired as foederati and led to reconquer rome but were considered to brutal and were forced to leave. the king of the lombards eventualy was killed by his wife who was the doughter of one of the kings favorite skull cups. they eventualy became christian but when the pope felt threatened they where whiped off the planet by the franks. with the queen Theodelinda who was not the ruler she made few decisions and did not run the country so why did the mod author choose her? and why did the mod author describe the brutes as peaceful?
