I have a non-Rico, 25-tile game that I'd love to put it in, but without RICO, it won't be a residential building, right?
Just dropping back in to say I finally figured out what you were talking about in resetting the building level. So now when I go into settings - type Rotterdam to find it, click on LOCAL SETTINGS and reset it to level 3 and save that, it is a happy building. This way I can place it all by itself, as I wanted to earlier, inside an extensive park area.....really pretty this way.
:^)
thanks for the building, Jerenable
. I reread your comment to me and tried plopping city service buildings (police, crematorium, clinic) nearby and zoning for a few more residential apartments to grow around the building and then waited a few hours (real time) for the property value colors to go dark blue with a tinge of green. That worked. The Rotterdam was happy, happy, happy.
. I've now used this method to plop 4 more of your Rotterdam building and a few of the other modders' big apartment buildings and now I AM happy, happy, happy.
.......chuckle......thanks for this building, Jerenable. I love that it has 240 homes in it.
:^)
Thanks Jer. I did figure out I could lower the building level to 3 and it would usually not complain of a low land value after that. I am finding that (only sometimes) the building still complains of low land value, but usually it's when garbage hasn't been picked up or police have been needed. I'm slowly figuring out how to do this.
:^)
Thanks for your quick answers and all the help.
LOVING this game AND your building
:^)
HELP ME, PLEASE.
Okay, I subbed to the RICO and enabled the Rotterdam as a residential building. After plopping it, I saw it fill with 198/240 residents ... unfortunately it then got an icon on top of it stating that landvalue was low and to place parks around it to upgrade the land value. As you can see in my screenshot at:
http://steamproxy.net/profiles/76561198192257377/screenshot/243587272533476353
I placed parks around the entire building. I also moved the metro out from under it, and added a clinic, police station, and fire station about 2 blocks away from it on both sides.
It did no good. my 198/240 residents dropped to 0/240 residents and now my building is empty and still complaining about low land value.
I checked the pollution icon to be sure there was no pollution, either ground or air (noise). There was none.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks, Jerenable, for the super-fast answer (some modders take days to answer or don't answer at all). Glad to see you are one of the one's who keeps tabs on his mods.
:^)
Also, if I just plop it without the RICO mod (can I do that without it?) how many residents does it house?
I subscribed to the building. I found it in my Workshop section in the CS game. So I have it on the game, but I cannot find it when in-game to plop it into the game. How do I access the building now so I can place it on a street?
Was about to put on a request for this building on Simtropolis, been dreaming about it since I got back from Rotterdam...
Hope you'll carry on with other buildings from there <3
