Long overdue update finally pushed!

Not sure if this is a true return-to-form, but it's a bit of stabilizing to an overpowered character in the shifting game-state. While I won't promise new content, I'm more than happy to tweak numbers if needed.

Also still in config hell I have no idea what I'm doing :papyruswacky:

@Elastii Sure thing! I can make some adjustments to be percentage based as a default if you'd like. I'm not super familiar with config, but I can give it a whirl.

Can you put something configurable? i think that it's too op, 2x damage, really fast speed, can dodge, hp:200 (1 of the highest hp), recovers more sanity at the afternoon than he losses during day, and the only "bad" is that he has to eat a little more than others, like Wolfgang, but so much more op things, i want manage on the config options for example disable speed, or disable dodge, disable a few things or if u want to, do it more configurable, like Speed %, or Hunger %, dodge chance..

His speed is all good when his hunger is like that. can you put it in the description that he has a speed bonus? i think it balances him, it was a surprise thats all. cheers

His speed seemed fine to me since he has such an issue with his hunger, but I can always tweak and test!

should price be really fast with moving around? he feels faster than when using a cane when he walks... it makes for really quick scouting the map

I can see him in the menu without the mod enabled, and he runs fine without it. Once you enable the Mods in Menu client mod, the game crashes. It's not the mechanic, it's not the new code; are you sure it worked with the mod enabled before the last big patch?

I'm getting the crash too now but i tested it before you updated it on march 19 & it worked fine.

So after checking the logs, it can't find bigportraits/Pryce.xml when it should be looking for bigportaits/pryce.xml

I'm assuming it autocorrects to capital file names off of that.

This is what i did for mine:

menu_assets = {

shigure = { gender = "FEMALE", skins = {}, nopuppet = true }
}
}

(note: nopuppet sets your character to not appear in the menu but still appear in icons/obituaries/etc, so set it to false if you want your character to appear in the menu)

I'm not sure! As the code was given, I don't see anything wrong with it, as with the character since it functions fine alone.

But you're right in saying it does not work in conjunction with Mods in Menu. It's odd- is there more snippets of code required? I even looked at the mod's forum post and have all required files.

@Sm0k I do like that idea! And no, I was changing his movement mechanics in his next major update, and I'll look into some playtesting with his damage modifier. :) I do have a custom item in the works, I just need some coding assistance and an artist for models. :P

I really like his look but I'm curious, does he have increased run speed? I see your post below mine. I think 1.5 dmg multiplier would be okay, 2x did sound a little OP. If he doesn't have increased run speed maybe add that in with the reduced damage. Would make him ideal to me :). (Custom items are always nice too :P )

@ownage1969 First off, thanks for your feedback! And yes, I do agree his hunger can be a little ridiculous at times. I considered reverting him to his original state of 1.5 instead of 2 as an amplifier; it seems necessary, and I'll probably be doing so soon. :dsmagic:

@Kyrogeniz I really like the Pryce character. From the way he handles combat and his really jerky manners, he's honestly not that bad. I feel like the only problem with him is that his hunger is just too low. I starved to death on the second day of winter even though we had about five meatballs in the ice box, and when my girlfriend brought me back to life, I died the very next day. He is a good character, but I feel like his hunger should be higher than what it is. Hope you get to reed my feedback and comment on it. Would like to know what you think about it.

@ShadowTheHedgehog Thank you so much! I really appreciate the feedback and am beyond thrilled by how much you like him! I love modding and I'd love to make more, but I'm still getting better with my LUA coding. I do promise more characters though (particularly ones this character mentions).

Yeah I have that fixed in the next patch; I can deploy it early if the problem is a big deal. Otherwise it'll be updated Monday. :)
