Mind having an updated variant? I am working on a possible twitch/youtube series with a friend, this could be super useful to have!

And yes, this series is gonna be on the new planet Pertam.... So yeah

just going to throw this out there.. but if it still needs a timer, it may need to be updated completely.

You should be able to put it into any thing with program block and a timer block. It's a very simple script that basically just hunts down a player. I don't know if it will work if you put it into it something that is meant to be on your side, as it doesn't have a friend / foe thing. It just says see player, kill player.

ok.. can i not just add this to any ship with a remote control, programmable block etc? im not sure how to set this up, but if i get it working it would be dope

it worked on my private server recently, but people are reporting it doesn't work in some situations.

Yeah, since the beta release of the game the codding is a little different. I will take a look again this weekend if i get the chance and see if i can fix it.

When pressing check code, i get this message:

I do not have even a basic knowledge of programming in SE so if it would be fixed or a solution given, i'd be very very happy and thankful. :)

probably not, this is a fairly dumb AI it basically does recognize topography so you dont get many crashes from them, and all it does is hunt down players within a certain radius. I used it for my cylons on my server and decided to share it here.

Hey there SerixFox, this script may not work anymore, i haven't updated it since it was released and new patches may have broken it. I will try to check it out this weekend.

Spoke to the developers about this, and it is an arbitrary block to prevent this from being used as they see it as an 'abuse'. However, I found that it there may be a possible workaround using the nanite factory modification. Of course, I am speaking as a player in MP, not as the space master of said server. Enemy Nanite Factories will make enemy ships, so there may be something there! :)

Hrm, that's odd that it wouldn't work in multiplayer. Personally what I do to make it work is I am the space master, and i will set up the drone as I wish, then change the faction of everything over to the enemy and let it do it's thing, i might add a timer block that activates the program after say 20 seconds to give me enough time to get away

Script works in single player, as transfer of ownership does not require recompiling script. However, in MP when I change over ownership to ai faction a recompile is required. Which I can not do since I do not have access. Thus making the script useless in MP. Is there something I am missing?

Well technically you could give your drone a set of waypoints and then when a player comes in range of it, this script will make the drone then go hunt that player down. But basically it looks for players around the drone

it's meant for drones, you put it in a drone and it chases after nearby enemy players
