might be my end, but when I got around to dropping off vans at north 09, I got an error for an "AI collision" derailment? I had the points setup fine so I assume maybe the AI may have had an issue

Thank you very much, Kyrile & readerj001 for your nice feedback! All the best, Tob

Brilliant scenario. I do enjoy a bit of shunting. I spent hours and hours watching the freight and cargo being moved around Temple Mills in Stratford, East London when I were a lad and I really enjoyed this trip down memory lane.

Brilliant! I really enjoyed this. Only just learned how to play shunting scenarios and this was very highly enjoyable. No fuss, no rush, excellent little details of the workers and vehicles around at the end - and I took some great screenshots too! Thanks for taking the time to make this.

Hi Tob. Another good one that worked well from end to end. J.

Thank you for your kind feedback, JJTimothy. I am happy that you've enjoyed this one. Cheers, Tob

I can't remember when I subscribed to this but, for some reason, I've only just gotten around to running it. I'm not a great fan of shunting scenarios but this goes off the beaten track and is welcome for it. Failed the first time but pretty sure that was my fault and experienced none of the problems described by some other users.

Thank you for posting.

Hello Op1e123, as you can see in the feedbacks this scenario is basically OK. And I'm known for trouble-free scenarios. :-) Such things happen from time to time and are mainly caused by workshop-sync errors. If you want to: try to unsucscribe, delete the scenario in TS and resubscribe. All the best, Tob
Op1e123 27 Jan, 2021 @ 3:01pm
Sadly there was a game over error due to an AI train derailment :(

Little bit late to the party, but I would like to say well done for this scenario. Well thought out and good AI. Looking forward to playing your other scenarios. Thank you.

Yes, and it didn't work.
TobBirk  [author] 8 Oct, 2017 @ 9:35am
Hello Choot Choot am trein, did you delete the scenario inside of TS before resubscribing to it? Best wishes, Tob
ouch ow owie ough 8 Oct, 2017 @ 8:24am
I cannot seem to play this, sadly. I have re-installed it twice, and it still says (even though it shows the add-ons are installed) I have to buy them. Any ideas?
TobBirk  [author] 3 Aug, 2017 @ 10:51am
Hello 935turbo & pmcbeath, I've had comparable problems with other scenarios (not only my own ones). The strange thing is that the derailment doesn't happen for every player, so this must be some kind of random bug / fault with the workshop sync. Most problems can be solved by unsubscribing from the scenario, deleting it inside of TS (very important!) and resubscribing. Best wishes, Tob
935turbo 21 Jul, 2017 @ 12:42pm
Love your scenarios, but having a problem with this one. When I go to pick up the coal wagons with a brake wagon at each end I have a derailment or collision just inside the turnout. Same as pmcbeath comment below.

Great Scenario, until I go for the coal brake and hoppers. I get a collision and derailment 5m from contact.Any Ideas?

Hello tom_hud999, I've never heard of this issue so far (and I receive a lot of feedback). You might consider to reinstall STEAM & TS, maybe the fault is inside the installation, so that the European Loco & Asset Pack isn't recognized properly. All the best, Tob
Tomhud94 11 Sep, 2016 @ 10:58am
For some reason I can't play any of your senarios that need the European Loco and Asset pack even though I have it installed. Wondering if you've heard of an issue like this before?

Thank you very much, John. I appreciate that you take the time to give me feedback! Best regards, Tob

Thank you so much, Glenagalt! I wished somebody would have told me earlier about that - not after more than 200 scenarios! :-D Your input is more than welcome! Best regards, Tob
Glenagalt 22 Feb, 2016 @ 2:38pm
For lots more information on freight operations I suggest this website. It's written for modellers (usually enthusiasts who know lots about engines but less about operations and stuff) who want to run their model railways like the real thing once they've built them.

Full story won't fit the 1000 character limit. Short version:
Wagon= any goods vehicle
Van= wagon with a roof to protect delicate or valuable loads.
Open wagon= a wagon with sides but no roof, for general goods or minerals.
Hopper= specialist open wagon with sloped sides and a bottom door for instant unloading.
tank wagon= wagon with a closed metal body (usually cylindrical) for carrying liquids.
Flat wagon= wagon that's just a floor on wheels, for large objects like vehicles or machinery.
brake van= van with accomodation for a guard. Would usually be ballasted to make it heavy (and its brakes more powerful), and have lookout verandahs and duckets, and a chimney for the coal-fired stove.
TobBirk  [author] 22 Feb, 2016 @ 10:49am
Hello Glenagalt, thank you for your nice feedback and your input regarding "vans". I didn't know that the term "van" is limited on specific stock! What would be correct words? I know van, wagon and coach? Best regards, Tob
Glenagalt 22 Feb, 2016 @ 10:17am
That was a thoroughly entertaining way to spend an hour or so, with a good mix of activity. I took a fair while longer than advertised, but I like to creep about yards at speeds that appear realistic to me rather than right against the red-line of the limit. One minor niggle: the prompts all refer to "vans", even when you're dealing with a tank or opens, which can be a little confusing.

Hello, Tob. This is another great scenario, as gasman says below! Enjoyed all the shunting! Wonderful stuff! Thank you very much for all you've done in creating these scenarios. Again as said by gasman, your hard work is much appreciated. Kind regards, David.
TobBirk  [author] 20 Jan, 2016 @ 2:46pm
Thank you very much, gasman! I am happy to hear that you enjoyed this scenario. The loading/unloading facilities haven't been modeled - that's really a pitty! We have to use our imagination there. :-D Best regards, Tob
gasman222 20 Jan, 2016 @ 10:41am
Another GREAT scenarioTob, I really enjoyed it. Love this little shunter, it really can move a lot of cars at once. I had a question about the UK colliery; I am in the US and we have loading/unloading machines for bulk cargo like coal. I see no such equipment in the UK colliery, are they just not modeled or how are the hopper cars loaded? I had to laugh at the end of your scenario. The blokes unloading the cars looked like some of the workers in the US: 1 working and 5 loafing!! Good touch, as is all of this scenario. Thanks again for sharing these scenarios, I see you have 21 pages of scenarios, you are a busy man, thanks for the hard work, it is much appreciated!!!
