This is one of the best ak mods ive seen. reload looks cool but not to flashy. sound of the reload sounds crisp. and the way it looks is simple yet unique. 10/10 bro

This is the AK-74 as I know and love it from Combat Arms and whoever made this reskin for Insurgency really did a good job. I would definitely love to grab and keep it, BUT - and this is my one and only problem with it - the shading on this one looks so awkward, I feel like holding a gun that's completely made of plastic. I really couldn't find any noticeable differences in between the light reflection of the plastic parts and the light reflection of the metal parts.

And to all those stupid people hating and raging in the comments. Get the game, play it and you'll understand why Insurgency's weapon sounds are as they are.
And stop raging in the comments.

P.S.: The creator of this mod is allowed to use my work on Insurgency's weapon sounds for his weapon ports. Whether he does or does not is all up to him to decide.

There's an easy fix for the too-quiet firing sound: simply install an ak47 sound mod that you like, then install this mod (install the sound mod first).

Absolutely fantastic gun. Definitely one of the best AK replacers on this entire workshop! :D The animations are top notch. The textures are crisp and very nice to look at, and the model is superbly detailed. I cannot praise this enough.

However, as others have said, the only downside is the firing sounds.

Can I make a humble suggestion? I suggest you split the sound from the rest into two addons, then people can go nuts with whatever sounds they'd like without needing to know VPK modding or anything.

This AK has the least spammy sound of all. It is just a tad bit quiet, but it doesn't bother me enough to change it with the instructions in the description. Thanks!

having played insurgency before, it REALLY bugs me you cant ADS with these weapons, because hip-fire in insurgency is all but useless most of the time.

I don't think that feature will work properly with anything that doesn't replace a ported CS:S weapon (MP5, SG552, AWP, Scout), but I could be wrong; I admit I've not experimented with it outside of that context myself.

i love this mod very much . but there is a problem can you help me out ? i'm a left-handed . than i changed the weapons' scripts builtrighthanded from"1"to"0" so i can hold the gun with left hand . many weapons mods works, but this ons and the wooden one is not. the gun is on the left of screen,but hands still on the right..... can you help with it ? thanks .

If you uninstalled a HUD icon mod prior to picking it up, that's what's causing it. Otherwise, I don't know what would be causing it; it certainly doesn't happen for me.

I'm having a problem that when I pick up an AK when I have this mod instaled, it crashes the game on me. Just thought I'd let you know.
