@chamron You need to get a beefaloo hat at minimum for survival. But it is intended that he needs to stay at the fire most of the time. But if you want to abuse the system a bit you could just put 2 thermal stones inside your backpack(!). Not your inventory, but your backpack ;)

Just wanted to let you know that this is my favorite DST mod ever. After I found this character (before the second version which made him even better) I had a hard time not choosing him when my friends and I play together. Truely do love the work you've put into him, and wish you the best of luck on any other projects you do.

This may sound like kind of a downgrade but you can summon the ice puddle instantly this way.

This is not a bug. I changed the mechanic in version 2.2.0.
You need to consume a piece of ice for the puddle to appear. You will also lose a lot of heat by doing so.

Dunno if you know already, but his ice-puddle-thing is broken. I stand still all day long and nothing apeared (well, except for hounds that chewed me down). Will you fix it?

The character is mostly done. It is just finishing the custom speech that takes some time right know. The guy in charge is very slow in that regard... I guess i could release her and pack the speech file as an update.

Hello again I tried to speak with the creator of Feu but unfortunately I had no answer, well if you had the permission to create the glace you can create a Remake of Feu talk a little with the creator of Feu, another thing I would think it cool you do with his talent is to create a group of creators of mods like Wolf the creator of Waenerys imagines a group among several creators of mods. As for the sanity part... That is something i do not wish to change because it is something directly related to how i see him as a character. Also other players do not need to stand still. The radius in which the sanity regeneration works is relatively big and he could just follow other players when in need.

And last, i have to agree that he has a bit too many different features. I won't take them away, only alter them if i see the need.

First, thank you for giving me your thoughts. They are much appreciated.
I do not think the winter is too hard for him, maybe the first one, yes.
But for the first you should rely on your friends to help you.
After the first year you most certainly have some warm headgear and clothing. Since i more often than not play as Glace i can assure you, that he is playable in winter with some protection.

When talking about summer you have a good point though. I will think of something when i next plan to update him. Right now i am busy with another character, so this will have to wait.

Also, I like the concept behind it, but I think Glace's sanity deal makes the character a bit too complex. It's cute and all, but if he has to actually stay next to another player and if that player has to stay still as well, that can get a little annoying. Experienced players will absolutely find a million ways to deal with a sanity penalty, so I think it's redundant, especially for a character who doesn't use sanity for anything like Wickerbottom does.

Finally, I am glad you put an option to turn down the speed. Any character with increased speed by default is overpowered, even though I see you put that as a way to balance other things. I think when you design your characters, you don't need to put so many features or make it so up and down. Subtlety is a great tool and you can chieve great things with it.

Greetings. I am a game designer, I have played your character and found it very interesting. However, I have a couple observations.

I think your character is based too much on extremes. For example, the fact that he has low hunger to make up for freezing food is good, but the fact that winter is unbearably hard for him while summer is unbearably easy for him is not. You see, jumps in difficulty are more enjoyable if short. For example, when Wendy has Abigail with her or not. This makes playing this character interesting and varied because you don't have to wait too much to recover Abigail, so it's not a huge loss. However, if the player has to stand winter for grueling hours, that's not going to be fun. If summer is just not a problem at all, that's not fun either. The point of a character like this is for the player to be able to work around their disadvatage, not to be helpless about it.

Since the DST update yesterday, my mod settings do not work as before, so until i get to the root of the matter do not expect giants to freeze.
The problem is looked into and will be resolved as soon as possible.

Added an option to reduce his speed to Wilson. But it's not the default, so you need to enable that. Have fun!

Will there be an option to configure the speed at which he moves?
My friend is a beginner and is used to his insane amount of movementspeed that lets him kite on easy mode (keep in mind that a walking cane gives you less movementspeed, is costy, takes time to get and fills your hand slot). I would like to tune the speed down so that he learns to play the game properly and can actually play other characters if he wishes.

Error when I freeze anything by eating ice

I'm sorry, i don't seem to be able to reproduce this behavoir on the current version.
If there is an error it should at least give you an error stacktrace.
Does this happen to others on the server? Is this happening when you are hosting yourself (with only Glace enabled)?
Another possibility would be other mods that modify how food consumption work.

Is anyone else getting a sever boot from eating ice? As soon as Glace eats ice i freeze something then get booted from the server and then the ice stays there until i get back in.

Yeah i found that out by accident, i miss the ice forming passively though. DO you have other characters you have made?

Yeah, i did alter the way the ice spawns. I updated the mod but did not have the time to adjust the description yet.

You need to eat a piece of ice now, if you want to summon the ice. This will also cool you down quite a bit, so keep that in mind!
