Hi all. Sorry for the late replies - I've been away for a few days.

@cpt_nosh - I'm a beginner modeller/texturer myself so I don't have too much wisdom to share. The modding subforum over at Simtropolis ( http://community.simtropolis.com/forums/forum/272-cities-skylines-modding-open-discussion/ ) is a treasure trove of information, though. I'd recommend you take a look there.

@Diskoturken @#Stoltkristensyndikalist - Right now I'm working on my last row house (spoiler: Solna kyrkby) and once that's finished I'll do either a series of low density commercial buildings or a set of Swedish cottages. I'd appreciate any pointers for either of those themes :-)

Hej, jag bor på Lidngö, kanske kan du försöka göra de klassika tunen husen som finns vid bo samt i rudboda och i yttringe, eller lojo husen eller annat dylikt ;D

Brilliant

Så otroligt bra!

Works great with the Building Themes mod. I have to learn modelling so I can contribute, are you planning on making any assets from Miljonprojektet?

@Ullstrumpan
Well nice to know. I'm currently fiddling around with my texture for my model with GIMP aswell. Do you have any tips or tricks? Would love to add something to this marvelous workshop.

@ _Shanich_ :
Control Building Level Up v0.4:
http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=410535198
and
Building Eyedropper Tool:
http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=438449058
are the better way. Otherwise, I think you're right but in this way you can copy all homes, no matter what level they have.

@Ullstrumpan - Thank you! Did not read this mods discription cearfully enough first time. Did not know this mod can do that. Thx.

@_Shanich_ - I won't be uploading different level versions of my buildings to the Workshop, but you can easily make lower level ones appear in your local game by using boformer's excellent Building Themes (Beta) mod. (Find it here: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=466158459 ) Just follow the instructions under Asset Cloning and you're good to go! Good luck :-)

It will be realy handy to have 1lvl variants of all of your buildings. I, for example, want to plop buildings individualy with help of Advanced Building 0.2 - http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=422797220 to create better looking neighbourhoods. Lvl 5 and 4 buildings fine, but it is hard to make them good conditions and raise land value enough.

vote up...som alltid

@cpt_nosh - I make them :-) Well, I do use a few free textures that I found image googling - one brick, one plaster and one roof tile, IIRC - but most are handdrawn or based on textures from Gimp.
nosh 14 Aug, 2015 @ 1:14am
May I ask where you get those textures from?
