An excellent idea! I love how it blends conjuration with necromancy to create a skyrim-themed minion! Sadly, the spell does not work as intended. It summons the farmer, who then dies instantly. I then receive a message "Ingredients transferred", but receive no items. The spell does work as a way to power level conjuration, I suppose, but I am just a bit saddened that it doesn't work as intended. I'd have loved to of used horses for transit and allowed the spectral farmer to pick up those precious alchemical supplies along the old roads of Skyrim.

You should add the link instead of just saying SKSE. It'll make it more obvious that there's a requirement people have to install first. Without it this mod doesn't fail to load or crash, it still lets you buy the spells and cast them, they just don't work, which is not obvious because it still says "ingredients transferred".

They all say Apprentice?? Oh, that's embarassing. Thanks, it might take me a long time to get around to publishing a new version becuase I kind of got halfway through redesigning it with a new questline and everything... But I'll make sure to include that edit, if I ever finish it.

ahh okay. So from what your saying the lvl of the spells in game is incorrect. They all say 'Apprentice'. I've got 'Adept' level perk.
I had posted more but i forgot about the enchant 'Fortify Conjuration'. Now I can try it out. Thank you for the replies. Could you maybe change it so each spell lists the correct lvl? Not a big deal though if it's too much work to do.

Yeah it looks like I copied all of the numbers from the flame atronach spells. The base cost for summoning a thrall is 900, which means if you had the master perk and conjuration lvl 100 it would cost 270. You can take that down further with enchanted equipment.

It's been a reaallly long time but I think I based the magicka cost on other conjuration spells. That does sound like a lot though! I'll fire up the creation kit and take a look...

Holy Crap on a Cracker!!! Spectral Farmer costs 610magika to cast? And that's after the Apprentice spell reduction perk. How are we supposed to get 610 magika to cast this?

Hi Truthowl, Summon Spectral Farmer is a master level conjuration spell and may not appear until your skill is high enough. If you are seeing other thrall summoning spells but not Summon Spectral Farmer, then there might be a conflict.

Where do we get the Spectral Farmer book? I went to the college and bought Spectral Farmer greater and they also had the lesser. But I did not buy the lesser only the greater. But they did not have just Summon Spectral Farmer. So then I went to Dragonreach and checked with Farengar. He also had Great and Lesser but no plain Summon Spectral Farmer.

Hi Knuckles, sorry for not seeing your comment earlier. I don't think I'll be able to do that immediately, as this mod requires SKSE.
I'm surprised at how many subscribers this has though. I'll do another push at finishing this one soon.

I'm sorry to hear that! I've been focusing on my other mod recently. I have done quite a bit to this one(mcm, new locaiton, quest) but it is not complete enough to put out yet. I will post to my mod blog when the next update is ready.

The farmer searches the entirety of his current cell when selecting herbs to harvest. Your distance from the herb doesn't make a difference. (The script would be far more taxing if that were the case, I was aiming for simplicity)

Do you have to be in range of an herb (i.e. be able to harvest it yourself) for the farmer to get it?

My playtester says that the most recent version on Nexus is working properly, so if anyone is still having trouble I would suggest downloading it from there.

Well my primary playtester is a little too busy to help me troubleshoot this, but the Nexus version hasn't been getting any new complaints so I've tried just re-uploading it here with that bsa to see if it fixes anything.

Sorry Klerabot, I was having that problem for a bit thanks to a naming problem in one of the scripts but thought I had repaired it. Just to double check, do you have the most current SKSE installed?

In standard me fashion, I seem to have borked it. It doesn't even summon the farmer for me, nor gather anything. Just makes the sound, a flash of shiny light, and takes the mana. That's it. :/ I fail at using mods.

Welcome. cause knowing how long corpses stick around for if i use it a lot while traveling it's gonna be like i left a large breadcrumb trail or something. :P
also, cause you make a second guy in a similar format that picks up animals and eggs etc that can be used in alchemy also? so like the butterflies, glow moths and torchbugs etc? that'd be great, cause I'm trying to level potions and use them for income and so I still end up picking up the bugs and getting distracted. :P

Would you be able to fix him so he fades away and leaves no corpses like the familiars and summoned atronaches? cause I end up seeing a lot of piles of ghostly goop now... :V

I understand they die at some point once they do their work, but mine insta die as soon as they are summoned. No collection, just death.

Fluffdaddy4 - For the lower two versions of the spell (Lesser and Greater) , that is what is meant to happen. As stated in the description, he dies and transfers all gathered ingredients to your inventory.
Is this happening with the highest level version of the spell? (Simply named "Summon Spectral Farmer")

I tried to set it up so that he would not give you his clothes but occasionally it happens anyway. The most efficient way to have him transfer all ingredients to you was to just hand over everything he had, so the script is supposed to remove his clothes first. Somehow, it gets ahead of itself. I'll fix this in my next update.
