Pretty sure you can cycle between large and small by pressing the key assigned to the refinery. So if its Large atm, press the key again and it'll change to small.

I need to put the refinery on a small grid but nothing changes The refinery remains large!!!

Loving the Mod, my favorite thing is building large ships using small blocks so that they get that extra detail.

The only problems I've had are the assembler has 3 non working ports and the pistons don't extend.
Do you have any plans to make the DLC items usable on small grids?

Tried to use the Large Drill, but in G menu it only has the option of Turn On/Turn Off. Ie you cannot use it with Left/Right Click. ANY HELP?

So because you said we could use stuff from this mod to make our own mods I made one with just the "Interior Wall (Pipes)" and "Interior Wall (Plate)" blocks for a ship I'm making. My first mod :steamhappy:

I have a somewhat reduced version of this mod I have been slowly fixing. I don't want to step on a full revamp of this mod though, but I did keep the SubtypeIds intact.

Feel free to use whatever resources, if any, from this mod that you find useful. Even copying SubtypeId's So anyone can use your mod as a drop in replacement for blocks that would fit the same.
FYI: I still had offset collision geometry with some blocks trying to re-use large block models.

I really like this mod, but it needs to be updated. I have been doing some tinkering locally to make the gyros visible and such, but I really don't know what I'm doing so I'm having limited success. I'd love to see a solid working update, or a replacement mod for that matter.

Any chance of an update for this? I've been building 'large grid ships' using small blocks with this mod. It's freakin amazing and essentially simulates compound blocks. Also very little lag compared to if I used small blocks. If you can improve this mod, it may become the most useful on the workshop...

Thanks IBO. I appreciate you saying that. It did take some time editing but most of the work is data file editing, re-using KSH models. I remade ones that wouldn't work, mostly from offset collision shapes.

@aerosabe Most of it works - but the texture of one of the antenna is missing, the gyroscope is not displayed and the conveyor are not working.
The rest works - you have a lot of subscribers an update would be wonderful.

btw. I could well imagine that some users would also consider a donation for this work. :-)

@Marek. This mod takes non-armor large grid blocks and makes them usable on small grids.
@IBO. If this mod still works then it should be compatible with any small grid blocks that don't use the same ID in the sbc file as these do.

how i can place small block to large block same time, i know that i can build mega huge ship or statyion with small blocks, no need eny mods for that. juast press R and make as big as u want , i dont understand about this mod. its totally useless.

I don't know for sure. I thought it could be with scripting, but I'mm not familiar with SE mod scripting. I 'd have to learn it and I haven't taken the time to do that.

I think I neglected to notice that there is no entry in the cubeblocks file for radio antenna range, so it's just whatever is hard coded for small or large ship. I noticed that as I was working on medium sized blocks and couldn't find the entry in the vanilla cubeblocks file.

I think it should be split into two blocks. One only one block deep and negligible, if any, exhaust damage and requires noticable power to run. Another using the same model that uses a fuel (Hydrogen or even Uranium or some hydro-carbon) and needs relatively negligible electricity to run control systems.
A reactor using Hydro-Carbon fuel would be awesome too so You don't have to hunt down uranium to "survive"

Basic thermodynamics tells me that would probably be dumb. Pardon the potentially stupid assumption, but it seems less efficient to use electricity to heat air to then expand and turn the turbine than to just use it to power a motor. The motors needed to build it suggest they would be used to power the fan instead of just start up a turbine engine.
Aside from the damaging exhaust, I still hold that it functions like an electrically powered fan and uses components that also suggest that, but has the size and appearance of a turbine engine powered fan with no separate fuel requirement.

FYI. Atmospheric thrusters are real turbines. They suck air, heat it with electricity and pump out hot air; they work like Project Pluto/SLAM missile, just with having a nuclear reactor swapped to conditional air heater and having an actual electric turbine instead of ramjet to deal with zero-airspeed inefficiency.

Medieval Engineers seems to have something like that with compound blocks.
There's a mod that works like a rotor sticking a small block to a large one.
I don't like the idea of extra expensive block for a large ship that has the same functionality as a small ship version. I thyink a mod that has wall mountable versions of these to stick to walls of large ships, like control panels and lights, might be a compromise.

Is there a way to get this the other way around? Would love to use small remote controls on big ships, I don't understand why a timer has to be 2x2 meters or something, just because the ship is big.

After thinking about atmo thrusters. I don't really like the turbine engine look when they're simply electrically powered motors. I almost feel like boycoting them, but then again, this is just a simple repurposing of large models mod.
