Could be cool to have a keybind to hide/show the coordinates
Belax 30 Apr @ 1:53am
On the contrary, I want a server mod...
toxxxik 7 Jan, 2023 @ 3:17am

凛子不是林子 7 Oct, 2022 @ 2:00pm
@Metal_Knight :cleanseal:It used to be a server-side mod, but it became a client-side mod after the update. because people prefer the latter

shady, probably #FIXTF2 8 Feb, 2021 @ 11:57am
hopefully people will use this more often now with vertical buildings
Metal_Knight 31 Mar, 2020 @ 6:55pm
make it a server side mod, not a client one please
aubri 22 Feb, 2019 @ 3:57pm
Great idea, thank you!
bjanmanjs 21 Oct, 2018 @ 8:48pm
I was looking at your code. Just to let you know, the vertical coordinate is Y, not Z. So the order when getting the coordinates with GetWorldPosition is indeed X Y Z like you expected.
Stubie  [author] 3 Mar, 2018 @ 11:51pm
You solved the riddle, hooray!

I just like the fact that the mod picture is 13x37 (if you don't understand we can't be frens)
Mickmane 18 Apr, 2017 @ 9:26pm
Oh, thanks! :)
Stubie  [author] 18 Apr, 2017 @ 9:24pm
It may have taken 2 years, but I have added the ability to reposition the mod.

I also made the mod client only, and removed the need for all players to install the mod.
Mickmane 25 Oct, 2016 @ 3:04am
Really useful mod!

Could you please move it a bit to the left so the 2nd coordinate it isn't mostly hidden under the backpack, or make the placement configurable?

I tried to edit it myself, but just managed to crash the game. Oops. :)

Thanks much! And for such a useful mod in any case thanks much too!
DisaPwned 3 Aug, 2016 @ 10:48pm
Not working :C

Great mod when you're playing with friend, no more struggle to find each other :)

1337 LeL XD
Mickmane 9 May, 2016 @ 1:11pm
Great mod! :) (So helpful in wilderness mode and keeping track of where notable stuff is.)

Can you please make the display of the coordinates configurable? As it is, a good part is covered by larger backpack from Ice backpack mod.

Thanks!

1337, i see wot u did there
cs8425 24 Feb, 2016 @ 6:57am
This mod can be client only(Just change the setting in "modinfo.lua").
I think client_only_mod may be better than all_clients_require_mod for this kinds of mods.
tartar 21 Feb, 2016 @ 2:47pm
I suppose it means that you're South (-167 tiles, vertical) West (-220 tiles, horizontal) from the center of the world.
If the numbers were positive, it would mean the opposite: North-East.
Gambit 16 Feb, 2016 @ 11:27pm
Sometimes coordinates are shown as -220x-167. Is that correct? :wasted:
小油菜 28 Jan, 2016 @ 11:41am
Can not be used
Snoop God 26 Jan, 2016 @ 1:43am
yes isn't working
wahoo 24 Jul, 2015 @ 10:54pm
I would like to see an option to move the coordinate box as a large backpack (i.e. Krampus Sack) covers the coordinate box.
Explodiatr 1 May, 2015 @ 2:46pm
Isn't working...

hi
Stubie  [author] 14 Jan, 2015 @ 1:34am
Thanks for confirming. Sorry it took so long to get a fix out.
Blahramewe 13 Jan, 2015 @ 6:52pm
Just tested it again, and it works fine. Not only is the bar in a good spot but it'll show for clients even if they don't have the mod.
Stubie  [author] 13 Jan, 2015 @ 2:05pm
Yes, in the changelog, I understood.
LordPixel179 13 Jan, 2015 @ 1:24pm
i meant writing it down so people can see, not in the comments though, no one reads thoses
Stubie  [author] 13 Jan, 2015 @ 12:44pm
Yup, planning on pushing out 0.0.3 this evening.

Server issues should be fixed, just need to work on placement.
LordPixel179 13 Jan, 2015 @ 12:23pm
you should write version updates so people know whats going on
LordPixel179 13 Jan, 2015 @ 10:39am
if youre hosting and need someone pm me and ill hop on
Stubie  [author] 13 Jan, 2015 @ 10:05am
I've sought help on the Klei forums, but not had a response so far. I think I have one potential lead, so I'll give it a go tonight if I can work out how to test it by myself.
LordPixel179 13 Jan, 2015 @ 9:48am
that was me stubie and im fine with the partially hidden game messages but yea host only...
Vanguard 13 Jan, 2015 @ 5:57am
Agreed with @Blahramewe, sometimes we can't see part of game message like "Player has joined"
Blahramewe 12 Jan, 2015 @ 11:00pm
I just tried it with another player and can confirm that it only appears for the host even if the client has the mod installed. Also, since the coordinates appear at the top of the screen they partially obscure game messages. Perhaps if the bar was set just above the inventory window it would look better.
Stubie  [author] 12 Jan, 2015 @ 5:50pm
Had nobody online to confirm the bug with me and nobody joined the host I set up. Will have to look again tomorrow.
Stubie  [author] 12 Jan, 2015 @ 12:10pm
A user called dragoneb (I think) commented saying this isn't working for clients, only the host.

I'm on my phone at the moment and I'm having trouble finding him. I accidentally deleted the message by fat-fingering the screen when I was trying to reply.

I'll look into the bug when I'm at home.
Vanguard 12 Jan, 2015 @ 9:31am

Stubie  [author] 11 Jan, 2015 @ 4:36pm
I think it's more in keeping with the spirit of the game. Don't want to make things as easy as clicking on an icon to auto-walk to the beefalo, right?

All you have to do is make sure the numbers are ascending or descending correctly and keep going.

Keep in mind that it's an isometric game, so x and y coordinates aren't going to exactly coincide with pressing the up, down, left, and right keys in default orientation.

There are several other mods that offer shared maps, or increased range on the position notifications, but I don't want to cheapen the experience.
Dexen Xeptar 11 Jan, 2015 @ 3:48pm
*Edit Below: "...everyone's location [on their mini-map]..."
Dexen Xeptar 11 Jan, 2015 @ 3:47pm
Seems too much of a hassle trying to figure out the position and which direction, but maybe some people like that setback about it.

Perhaps a mod that allows players to see everyone's location would be more preferable. Although maybe thats more harder to code than give game world coords. (I wouldn't know)
