Like every person who knows Steam and SFM to close to the fullest, he explores and looks at items he really likes.

really nice job on it! looks awesome
Kumquat [Velbud] 10 Jan, 2015 @ 12:09am
who knows? you decide.
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 11:46pm
I know, I was just asking for what you could possibly do. :) Just ideas.
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 10:46pm
Shoot, sorry. I meant if you could've added a bodygroup with a lid. Though it's fairly simpl to make, it's your choice. :|
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 10:40pm
no problem, this still looks amazing. Hmm, what if you added a version of a crate bodygroup for a can with a closed lid?
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 10:21pm
Excellent, can you share a picture on the workshop?
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 10:19pm
Heheh, well alright.
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 10:16pm
alright, so what will you be doing next? I'd recommend if you will be making props, try making the nice and nughty sissmas gifts. :)
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 10:09pm
Okay, and if possible, is ther any light reflections off the paint or the can? I am just asking, dont add them.
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 9:58pm
Probably, anyways, just update this post and let me congratulate you for this great work. :)
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 9:33pm
and yet you have this root bone? Hmm, maybe it's something done automatically on SFM, or check your qc. Maybe it exists somewhere there, or SFM just does it automatically.
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 8:33pm
BTW, if it doesnt do anything, just leave it and assign it as a static_prop bone.
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 8:31pm
Hmm, did you try just deleting it in Blender or whatever 3D program you used?
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 8:15pm
Hmm, if it doesn't work. Make two separate models then. One with spill and the other without spill so that you can paint without getting a shadow over it.
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 8:08pm
hmm, Im not sure if it will necessarily do that. Make a body group with and without the spills. I think the different textures will just rely on the spill and no spill paint that the person paints. And thanks for adding a bones to the handle! This should work better!!! Better have this prop as much multipurposal as possible.

I suppose if you liked, I could add a can to the background of my next video.
Kumquat [Velbud] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 8:37am
As replica prop this is pretty cool. Just a question, though. What if you added a version without the spilled paint?and added a bone to the handle so that the characters can hold it? Just an idea. If you want, then I can work this out instead. :/
Kumquat [Velbud] 8 Jan, 2015 @ 11:09pm
WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Now this is nice!!!!!! >:)
Misterlegodude 8 Jan, 2015 @ 9:50pm
Oh, i forgot to mention, since this model's VTF and VMT have the same name as the ones in the Source Filmmaker's TF folder, Team Fortress 2 might overwrite the texture, so the paint will continue to appear brown and unpaintable

If you happen to be encountering this, you can launch the Source Filmmaker from the Steam Library, choose to launch the SDK, select 'Edit Search Paths For Selected Mod', drag and drop 'workshop' above 'tf', then click the OK button

You're welcome, glad i could help!
Kumquat [Velbud] 8 Jan, 2015 @ 9:33pm
Okay, so now I am guessing you will update the existing post with the contents in the dropbox?
Misterlegodude 8 Jan, 2015 @ 9:20pm
If it's alright with you, i fixed up your VTF and VMT files to make the paint white by default and make it so that only the paint can be re-colored with scripts or whatever

Kumquat [Velbud] 8 Jan, 2015 @ 8:37pm
Alright, thanks for at leas trying it out! And I hope my idea helps ya. :)
Kumquat [Velbud] 8 Jan, 2015 @ 8:31pm
Try to change the pant color to white. And take a look at the material in colorable items in TF2 Decompile, examine, copy, then finally compile.
Kumquat [Velbud] 8 Jan, 2015 @ 8:07pm
Do you think the Doc Script will work on this? I mean, changing the color of the paint?
