In the Height Problems you can cheat by useing the playback (stand on the pressure plates, then wait, then go back, then pick up the sigil, then enjoy that you didn't need to solve it (I thought those purple exclusion fields would stop the playback recording even in the chambers)). And the platform is completetly unnecessary, beacuse you can put the connector/reflector on the edge of that brick thing.

I liked it, good map. :theta:

Nice set of levels, I especially liked "A Connector Up High".

Not bad, but I was able to cheat in "Height Problems" by using the airborne connector in "Connector Up HIgh".

really enjoyed this map. didnt have any problems other than the game locking up on me but that has been happening with all the maps including the original game

Having fun so far. Just here to point out that height problem is completely breakable by simply putting the red connector on the cube in the neighbouring puzzle. I'm not even sure what the intended solution was since I did it without the recorder or the plate.

Very nice ! I love night play, and Egypt ! Thanks for creating !

The last puzzle involving the high-up box/connector keeps getting bugged. The box gets stuck inside the mine 9 times out of 10, rendering it uninteractable and the mine stuck in place. Resetting is the only solution it seems, but a reset doesn't garanty absence of the bug to occur again. Extremely frustrating, especially considering the other puzzles were all quite challenging and fun.

Also, I wasn't trying to speedrun, I just ended up doing it that quickly.

Fun, but easy map. I played it for the first time today and breezed through it in 40 minutes. Normally my first playthrough of a map takes hours.

Height Problems: The cube can become inaccessible if the recording of itself knocks it off the mine, trapping the mine out of view of the jammer and too close to grab the cube. At first I thought I needed to get the jammer down because of this. The platform can be used to open the sigil barrier instead, though. Moving the jammer perch directly across from the mine barrier and having it double as a wall to block the A Connector Up High exploit would remedy two problems at once. Replacing the purple barrier near the sigil with a solid wall and ladder on inside should stop use of the recorder to bypass the puzzle.

More feedback and some potential fix ideas (Assuming that I solved anything as intended...):

A Connector Up High: First cube spawns on top of the mine with the long patrol or by the blue laser source, not sure which was intended. I was able to get it either way. Having to use the short patrol mine to get the cube to the other side was cool. Had to reset once though due to mine and cube getting stuck together when the barrier shut on them.

Enjoyed this, nice atmosphere and some trickier puzzles. Thanks for posting it!

I'm impressed by how thoroughly you blocked line of sight between puzzle entrances with natural landscaping, I got stuck on a puzzle for a bit and tried to exploit but was unsuccessful, haha.

@ Eagleshadow- The game itself has plenty of puzzles utilizing connectors and terrain height, so I wouldn't consider that "exploit-y" or bad design at all.

invisible barriers a re a no-no x_x http://puu.sh/hq785/f2082c9257.jpg

I'm sorry but this here is a really bad design decision: http://puu.sh/hq8pM/e101cfc0e9.jpg
You made the fan raise the player only two meters or so, making player think that's as high as fan goes, but the actual solution is puting cube on it, and then the cubes goes up hundreds of meters. I gave up this puzzle and looked for solution on youtube after 28 minutes of pondering, becasue I never considered the fan could possibly be usefull since it carrying elements 20 times higher than it carries player is simply absurd. Hope you find my critsism a constructive one.

This reciever is in an unintuitive place and should be moved next to the barrier it controls http://puu.sh/hq70p/7825fd083c.jpg
Additionally, it's way too easy to get stuck in that puzzle in many places around the area of that screenshot, which would be very frustrating if I wasn't playing with cheats enabled.
Eagleshadow  [developer] 25 Apr, 2015 @ 3:02am
If this is the correct way to solve this puzzle http://puu.sh/hq6GK/991f83448f.jpg , it's not a very good design to use subtle terrain height difference to solve the issue of beams crossing, stil the hardness made it enjoyable but players that like exploit-y solutions tend to be rare, and most people get frustrated by such solution. And if it's not the intended solution, it should have been fixed and updated ages ago since it would be simple matter of flattening the terrain.

Yeah i know about that one, should really fix it sometime :P

Thank you! and glad you enjoyed it.

Awesome! Very nice design! Incredible puzzle ideas! I felt like this was part of the game :D One thing in the Level "Height Problems": you can just record staying on the final pressure switch before the Sigil and then just go through it without solving the puzzle correctly. Maybe change the purple grid to one, where your recording stops (for example, when you leave a pizzle area).

Прикольная карта.

This doesn't seem to have the tag for custom campaign. Because of this, it doesn't show up with the others when viewing that tag. Just a suggestion as it'll increase visibility once the workshop is more populated.
noam 2000  [author] 28 Dec, 2014 @ 10:33am
Yes,it isnt an intended way. there are a lot of explots and fixes i need to do on height problems :P
Rakdinas 28 Dec, 2014 @ 10:30am
not sure if you intended it, but from the puzzle "a connector up high" i can use the raised red connector to very easily solve the puzzle "height problems". if this wasnt the intended way of solving it, i suggest putting a wall or something there

Thanks, dude! Yeah, I liked it a lot. Looking forward to your future uploads! Really cool to see maps like this being made for the workshop.

Thanks a lot mate, really glad ya enjoyed it. im still gonna need to find some ways to improve but thats the start of the road i guess :)

And keep on the videos, really enjoy watching them!

Had a lot of fun playing this map and really enjoyed the world. Rome at night is always awesome but the wide, open spaces and big puzzle areas were really refreshing compared to a lot of tight and compact puzzle areas from the main game.

I made a video of my impressions here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xMq5ZF1ccA

I put about an hour in to this map the first time and managed to get all sigils. I think I may have done at least one puzzle the unintended way but I actually like that about puzzle levels, haha. One down side is that leaving puzzles after getting the sigil was too much work in one or two puzzles, but nothing too bad, just a minor thing that can be solved with a reset. Overall, a really good start and first attempt and I enjoyed it a lot! Good job, noam 2000!

These puzzles are fun so far, but the LoS in "Double Trouble" is unnecessarily difficult.
inappropriately_gendered_fungus 27 Dec, 2014 @ 9:38pm
Why does this require the DLC?
