Ha! A 5-year old map, and @KAKTUS ‡SvK‡ beats me to the comments by two hours.

Very nice set of levels, thanks!

You ROCK! You should be very rich or at least as rich as you wish to be. I would have paid to play this one. Kicked my butt for many hours. Thank you.

Yay!

The Dream Tower is the followup and I am working on the "sequel" to that. Stay tuned :)

Plesae, please finish the story!!!!!!!
fantasychica37 30 nov. 2016 la 11:23
I got frustrated and noclipped through it- I do agree that you should make it less convoluted, because a well made puzzle doesn't needhints and the hints didn'thelp much, and also why are there turrets in the ventilation shafts, but this was cool anyway!
DeathWish808 9 oct. 2016 la 18:10
Played all 3 of these (Did not finish the 3rd as it was way more involved and twisted than expected. :-) BUT will finish it in my next stream.)

All of yours are right after Afro Melon's map... https://youtu.be/Nlaw555fXIE

(As of the time of this comment, it's still uploading and YT still has to process it. I won't be around tomorrow to post this, so I'm doing it now.)

Cheers!

P.S. Saying 30+ minutes is an understatement! I see your comment about it being too convoluted. 100% correct. The red herrings and all the circular paths lead to nothing but frustration. I want to finish this, but if it keeps going like it has then I'm going to have to disregard this one. I thought it was decent up until the "last" area that just distracts and runs me in circles. Nobody watching my stream even had any input because there was nothing to go on.
Lord_Kardok  [autor] 29 iun. 2016 la 0:10
Well done. This map is not simple. Looking back at it now I would say that it is too convoluted. But thanks for playing.

Damn! Great chamber. Got it solved all by myself! Yeah me!
quatrus 10 mai 2016 la 14:58
lost in the area after the turrets/barrels and got into the rocket turret area. Can't get into the clean map area and the hints don't help ..... lost and confused....refuse to no clip around so guess I have to leave.....I think I have become the Ratman.....
wildgoosespeeder 10 aug. 2015 la 20:41
I also forgot to mention I can skip the first area entirely because why would I need to open the exit door? Also because the fizzler before the giant cube room is positioned in such a way, I can slip a portal between the crack it forms and portal at least the companion cube with me (unless that was by design and if it was, needs to be conveyed better). Also I can get stuck:

I got as far as finding the third secret but can't seem to progress any farther. I don't even trigger the voting screen. I managed to get the game to go to a black screen but didn't do it the first time. Also I managed to control the game in pitch blackness. I don't know what to do next! This map is so confusing!
Turrets Turret 4 aug. 2015 la 7:50
long :-)
Gawdzilla 7 apr. 2015 la 5:08
I did not appreciate going back and forth through that vent maze at the end, but overall this map was pretty solid. Although I have to wonder what would have happend if either of my Companion Cubes ever got fizzled...
Epaminondas 14 mart. 2015 la 8:28
Thanks :D. Realy nice map.
Lord_Kardok  [autor] 14 mart. 2015 la 4:19
After the portal in the ceiling you must place a portal in the floor and use the stairs beneath to slingshot you to the plateau next to the fan.
Epaminondas 12 mart. 2015 la 8:23
I dont know how to finish the map. I went past the turrets, in the barrels part, and then I found the stairs and shot a portal to the ceiling but I dont know where to go or how after that. If anyone knows, please explain to me?
The Sojourner 25 ian. 2015 la 20:38
Wow. I had no idea it was already at 60% (as opposed to 100%). Curious...and...nothing to worry about. It could be the sound itself; I'm not entirely sure...
󰀉tempeh󰀉 25 ian. 2015 la 11:37
I found a new way up to the triangle button. I managed to enter the rocket tunnel from a portal on the ceiling above the rocket button, and that allowed me to fire a rocket from inside the tunnel and follow it out into the test chamber. Obviously I got the imposible door again, since I hade the spare laser cube. The third secret isn't much of a secret right now. It should probably have a closed door or something. I also managed to escape to the control room past the stairs at the end.
󰀉tempeh󰀉 25 ian. 2015 la 9:37
In the big cube room buttons 2 and 3 have their door lights swapped. Also I can get into the large room full of catwalks above the turrets, by portaling to the ceiling I don't know if that's intentional. On the one hand, it lets me skip the turret hall and stairwell, and the little details that are amiss like railings that don't line up suggest it wasn't meant to be seen up close. On the other hand it gives me a way back into the radio room. I could have moved the laser cube into the radio room after leaving the first room with just the companion cube and then come back for it this way, if I hadn't done the Temple of Doom thing.
󰀉tempeh󰀉 25 ian. 2015 la 8:31
Well, it's still possible to smuggle both cubes out of the first room. I put the radio just past the door, then balanced the companion cube on it to hold the door open just enough to slide the laser cube under. Hard part is doing it just right to be able to retrieve the companion cube and radio afterward. Haven't gone any further yet.

Thank you all for you constructive feedback, especially temporarymanwastaken for your impressive equilibrism and dexterity.
The latest version contains updates to most of you suggestions. Including shortcuts and secrets (there are now 3)
About the lightning: I have increased the luminosity slightly to help orientation in that part, but I am suprised that any of you got lost since there is basicly only one way to go from here.
󰀉tempeh󰀉 23 ian. 2015 la 14:33
Got all 3 buttons/lasers for the unopenable door, and still had a fourth cube to climb up to it. Huge skip from Exile Vilify to Under The Conspicuous Lack Of A Bridge Uptown allowed me to take both cubes from the first room most of the way to the light bridge room, skipping the giant rotating cube entirely. Then I retrieved the fourth cube from the end to climb the steps.
󰀉tempeh󰀉 22 ian. 2015 la 16:47
Am I the only one disappointed that the triangle button in the light bridge room does nothing? I reached it with careful stacking of a crate, two barrels and two cubes on the light bridge, and I lifted one barrel and a cube up with me so I could use the barrel to wedge a cube against the triangle button. Could have at least got confetti for the effort.

Otherwise a cool map.
risona-kamo 20 ian. 2015 la 15:08
got super lost
KyloX 19 ian. 2015 la 7:11
As Blappeture said, I was lost the moment you set foot into the outside the frst chamber ( the pipes and the rooms, all that stuff). There was a lot of "what i am supposed to do; Will i get my cube back or not" moments. Even the rocket thing was no easy job to figuring out cause, as I found the solution by random.

Your first 2 maps weren't so complicated, but this one beats the cake with visuals though. Plus I haven't finished the map as I have no idea what I am supposed to do in the place where you can see the outside.

Though found some bugs:
* You can shot a portal to the moon and you drop to noclips and get stuck ( this would be a nice easter egg)
* Dropping companion cube to the bottomless pit makes the screen go black, but doesn't re-load the map.

Blappeture Executive No.1 18 ian. 2015 la 17:27
after the second test i got lost, its too dark, i cant find any door that opens and i had to use cheats to figure out where the hell i was and where everything else is. I maxed the brightness and used noclip and im still not sure where i am supposed to go
Lord_Kardok  [autor] 9 ian. 2015 la 12:22
@dadipadi: I am sorry to hear you getting stuck near the rotating cube. I tried to avoid this by simply getting crushed if you are in the way of the blocks...
It should be possible to push the button in the ceiling though. I see two solutions, but perhaps there are more :)
1. Be quick and get on top of the cube before it has raised completely.
2. Roll the cube to about 45 degress, then place portals on the faces towards the floor and the ceiling and use them to get to the button

Lord_Kardok  [autor] 9 ian. 2015 la 7:35
@Portalmaster: The music in the first two chambers are added to make the player feel familiar and to underline the escape from the test chambers, where the music changes drastically and gradually fades to silence (soundscape).
Per your suggestion, however, the volume of the chamber-music in the coming version will be reduced from 60 to 50 %.

A very difficult map to say the lease (at least for me, i thought i was good at this game!). I am not even finished because i found a bug i think. I have no idea if the "regular" part of the map is even solvable since i was having great difficulty even pressing that button so high in the air in the entry chamber. There was no way for me to touch it even I was able to place a portal on a "light source" and I entered it's entry point to end up getting stuck way up there "in the trees" with the sound of whooshing like i should have falling forever. I stopped after that to type this. I have to try again to see if i can get farther deep into the bowels of your map. You deserve positive feedback for satiating my appetite for not following the rules and exploring. Also props for leaving useful junk around too. Thanks
The Sojourner 2 ian. 2015 la 23:34
Looking back I realize it had been a while since a new map has been added to the series. So far this is the best one.
The Sojourner 2 ian. 2015 la 23:31
...so close to finishing this one...

So far, nothing too difficult from a Portal (2) veteran player's perspective. In fact, I only needed to rotate the big cube for the third part in the second area.... And wow, what incredible esthetics and exploration :p2cube: A couple of minor sounds issues:

> Starting music was too loud. In fact I shut it off completely (and may have missed some more music, but this map, to be honest, feels better without music).
> For some odd reason, the soundscapes refused to play whenever I (quick)load. Could just be me; dunno...
> My console told me that many of the sounds for the rocket turret are missing (NB Valve used them in Portal but didn't carry them over to Portal 2).
> Outstanding work paying attention to the sound aspect of mapping :p2cube: Not many mappers seem to do that.
Lord_Kardok  [autor] 30 dec. 2014 la 9:26
I am glad to hear that you liked to play the map.
Unfortunately I must admit, that I did not consider the possibility of returning the cube to the room with the buttons, so I simple did not add an opening-mechanism to the door. But thank You for pointing this out. I will add a correction to this problem in the near future - or maybe even change the layout to force people to do what you did :)
mlkaman.rar 28 dec. 2014 la 19:04
This was fantastic!! The interconnected level design was brilliant, especially with the lengthy boom sphere section, and the entire level had a wonderful exploration-driven feel. One of the best I've played, and I've played tons.. Thanks for making this! By the way, I had the three cubes on the platform inside the chamber with the lightbridge but the door didn't open, even though the door was activated with a check mark. Was this intentional?
