Easily one of the worst maps ive ever had to experience in my favourite online game of all time.
How can you make a map so small and still make parts of it useless.

I dislike this map, but trans rights are based

This map sucks. You literally made a small ass map where only the explosive classes and pyro get to actually play and kill people with spamming either airblasted off the damn map or just blown up. Honestly dude I suggest reevaluating your map design because this map SUCKS its not fun at all. It is literally horrible to play on.
moonlight gal 19 Aug @ 9:20pm
♥♥♥♥ tier community oh my god whoever said being a workshopper in 2025 is like sh is so real

it's a tiny ass map where you get more environmental kills than kills with your guns, it's almost like a 3d platform fighter

it's not that bad, it's just different to everything else we've had
iansav 19 Aug @ 7:02pm
i speak for all of us when i say demolition is pretty good!
Fido 15 Aug @ 10:15pm
How the hell did a map that managed to pass a lower bar than wutville get in
the gamer (she/they) 15 Aug @ 11:05am
yeah wait scout gets the exact same benefits as spy and is really fun the people complaining are just bad at tf2 lmfao
the gamer (she/they) 15 Aug @ 10:41am
2) For lower skill snipers, of course, it can be frustrating, which is why this is primarily a game balance problem. Scout gets the same flank route benefits that spy does, though he probably has the worst time on the map. I think most of the hate on this map is because it encourages playstyles that most people don't have, but that's literally fine! I think it's cool that we get different ways of playing the game encouraged by different maps! Dustbowl engi and Harvest engi are two different kinds of play, and that same thing extending to this map isn't so bad.
the gamer (she/they) 15 Aug @ 10:38am
1) Super agree with SuperTanker's ideas for a map revamp, but I think that the current design actually can be used really nicely. I really like the way The Door™ makes attacking and defending more dynamic, with both teams taking turns and making sure that each team can fight back. Everyone complaining about spy, scout, or sniper is simply bad at TF2. My favorite class to play on the map probably is spy simply because, while it's tiny, it ISN'T too chokey, meaning that you can actually maneuver a lot. We should be rewarding snipers who can quickscope, because the problem with sniper is the exact opposite. If a sniper is quickscoping you, you can fight back! If they are lightyears away, then you can't. Closer snipers makes fighting against them nicer, and it makes sniper really fun.
SuperTanker 14 Aug @ 10:12am
5) like, can go marry Dustbowl if they love it so much. At the end of the day the map is what it is, and theres clearly not going to be such major overhauls this late into a release. Still theres a lot to learn from this map, and I hope you (Entropy) can take the knowledge and apply it to future maps.
SuperTanker 14 Aug @ 10:12am
4) into a observation deck that looks at the point. 5.Increase the length and width of the radio shack and make that the spawn. 6.Position the two spawn doors to direct towards the shortcut door primarily (maybe a box with a sign on it to point towards that), One door looking at the helipad but with a wall blocking a direct route to it, and the second door looking at the old spawn. Both should spill players out into that main corridor, but in the case the door closes, they can still see the route to the heli pad. 7.Place spawnpoints at a 45 degree angle in the new spawn, so they have the option of strafing left or right thru the new spawn doors. Gives them the feeling of having an option, while still spilling them out into the same corridor. Aesthetically, I think the map is fine. The most TF2-ey looking map in the update with the way the building architecture was done and the textures used, save for Conifer. People who complain it doesnt fit what Valve's maps used to look-
SuperTanker 14 Aug @ 10:10am
3)the map to be in. Theres no reason the inside room needs to be THAT big, a box that blocks both doors would have sufficed and it wouldnt feel as cramped to walk to the point. If I had to overhaul the map layout leading to the point, 1.Id push both sides spawn platforms back maybe another 10 feet, or Double the length of the concrete floor thats in front of the brick house and the control point. 2.Place a lifted platform right under the shortcut door, and make it connect to the Furnace room. Wouldnt even need to raise the barricades on the point. 3.The furnace room itself could definitly be lifted as well, and the far left/right doorway should have a staircase turned AWAY from the side flanks. It needs to be much harder for offensive classes to waltz into the furnace room so that each team can have a good place to retreat to. 4.Either completely scrap the helicopter pad building (just leaving the heli pad itself), or make the interior room much smaller. 5.Convert the existing spawn-

2) point is cleared to even start setting up. And apart from your sentry and maybe-not-really your dispenser, an engie doesnt have a backline to set up in. Thats the main issue, there is no good highground or defendable spot to back up into, which is kind of important for the back and forth gameplay of KOTH. Another issue is the very strange setup of the spawnroom as well as outside of it. Why are the spawnpoints faced 180 degrees away from the point? It just confuses the heck out of new players, and frustrates experienced ones that have to turn themselves 180 degrees to move towards the point. It feels like an attempt to slow down players, but if so it just feels really awkwardly excecuted. The Radio tower room could have been a perfect spawnroom if it was expanded in size. Its the furthest from the point, and players immediatly know the direction they have to go to get to the point, right from the moment they spawn. The Helicopter pad building is very chokey, least favorite part of-

1)Im going to make an actual critique of Demolition since the comments seem to have been taken over by some very angry apes, If you seriously think the trans rights text is an massive issue get bent. I think one of the main issues with the map is the distinct lack of angles. Not one 45 degree path or platform in sight. The main corridors are fine by themselves, but the flanks are a hassle to navigate around, and it hurts the flow for the attacking team. Yes I understand thats the gimmick, with that door, but it felt like a botched execution, and seems to be what players actually are taking issue with. When the shortcut door is open, youre dropped straight into the main corridor the fighting is taking place in, which maybe in a different game could work, but it really screws over the squishy classes. Sniper has to immediatly start quickscoping because the point is like 8 feet away, which not all players can do. Engineer has to be REALLY lucky to dodge all spam and/or make sure the-

@Mackola
People are tired of TF2 being continuously grafted onto things that go directly against it's core principles. Maps and items that are added and detract from TF2's overall aesthetic are no longer tolerated. The age of toxic positivity is over, a new era has taken the helm.
Mackola 11 Aug @ 3:38pm
being a tf2 workshopper in 2025 has to be an advanced form of self harm like dawg what the ♥♥♥♥ are some of these comments. how did this community get so bad?

A great experimental map. Thanks for putting this out and congratulations on getting it approved.
Obama Angry 8 Aug @ 8:17pm
I genuinely have no idea why this map was approved for the game. There are so many issues, but above all else it is just too small for most game modes and team sizes. If this map was mean't to be a 6v6 arena map it would be fine.

But it is like a tiny version of longest yard with 2fort syndrome and with some of the most aggressive clipping restricting movement in the air just making this map feel even more claustrophobic.

Also if you need to make a hidden message in your map that is only visible by turning on clips, it shouldn't be in the map at all.

The only good thing I have to say at all is that the map is very detailed.
Kirk, Knight of Thorns 8 Aug @ 2:10pm
it is an insult to this game, that this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ was added

If demolition has a million fans, I will be one of them.
If demolition has 10 fans, I will be one of them.
If demolition has only 1 fan, it will be me.
If demolition has no fans, it means I am not on this earth.
If the world is against demolition, I will be against the world.
Frostlander 7 Aug @ 2:09am
we somehow got a map worse than wutville

impressive
BonesMcJones 6 Aug @ 8:12pm
This map should not have been added to TF2 in any official capacity. The only reason it was added to match some gimmick.
Should honestly just be removed.
Multi 6 Aug @ 4:10pm
@cubsluv2 I don't mind of what the movement is trying but lately lets just say this in a polite manner, the bad actors within the group caused them to be less of what they are accomplishing and more forcing others to accept it or we will become hostile against you if don't agree with them.
Predomz 6 Aug @ 1:28am
Just a horrible map
cubsluv2 5 Aug @ 8:45pm
@Multi Trans Rights aren't about politics, they're about the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness for people. Feeling as if you were born in the wrong body is a horrible thing and they should be allowed to cope with that feeling however they want to as long as they aren't causing harm to others.
Multi 5 Aug @ 3:13pm
@ThatCat Because political messages are not needed in tf2. Want to voice your political views? Thats fine do it in a peaceful protest or something but not in tf2 where the community is mixed and becomes a mosh pit when politics is involved.
ThatCat 5 Aug @ 1:36pm
Why tf is everyone blowing up about a hidden message that can't be seen in normal gameplay?
Luna 5 Aug @ 4:23am
I like looking at maps for details and stuff, and I like how this has custom fitting team names and lore reason for the place, it's pretty neat to see when people give an actual lore reason for the maps they create, I especially like how you made custom newspaper stuff that have readable text telling bits of the story
illumn8n 5 Aug @ 2:04am
The "easter egg" isn't ok, and sure the map may not have been executed perfectly, but honestly good on the creator for trying to experiment with smaller map design, it's probably inspired someone else to make a small map
Black Messsssa 4 Aug @ 8:03pm
With all do respect, I don't think I've ever had such a miserable playing experience on a TF2 map in my entire life. WHO VOTED FOR THIS?!

Aesthetically I do love it but playing this feels like everything is such a chaotic migraine to navigate in a 12 v 12 lobby because of how very close-quarters everything is, it certainly is gimmicky that way. Also the fact that a good select few classes are pretty much pointless here either due to low health and dps stats or the map actively working against their strengths and quite literally not giving them enough room to fully utilise their movement and actions.

Sorry but this is just not a good map and needed much more time in the oven. I'm quite ashamed at the quality control from both this community and Valve for allowing this to get in.
